Walking home one early morning from a friend’s birthday celebration, newspaper photographer Julianna Brennan is brutally attacked by a man demanding a memory card, of which she has no knowledge. After a lifetime of loss and fear of losing anyone who she dares get close to, FBI Special Agent Will Delaney is the one person Julianna feels safe with, and she finds herself falling quickly in love with the handsome Agent. But as the body count rises and events take her once more into a nightmare she thought she had escaped, Julianna wonders if she can truly trust him, or will someone else hold the key to her heart and convince her that she doesn’t have to be afraid to love?
I loved the cover, the blurb sounded really interesting and right up my alley. I had seriously high hopes for Arms of a Stranger but it just didn’t live up to it’s potential or my expectations. At some points I found myself skimming the information overloaded sections.
This one’s a hard one to explain why it didn’t work for me. It’s perhaps because Will and Julianne didn’t spend a lot of time together and I had a hard time buying their love story. There was very little in the way of romance so don’t do into this one expecting any sexual interaction.
Anne-Marie Clark book that is. Pretty fast . paced. Good action and romance. I was looking for a book that wasn't so angst driven. This definitely filled the bill. I now feel good and I'm smiling so "Thank You" Anne-Marie!
JULIANNA WAS ATTACTED AND ALMOST KILLED SHE’S SAVED BY SEXY FBI AGENT WILL DALANEY. HER ATTACKER IS STILLOUT THERE, SHE AND DELANEY HAVE TO FIND OUT WHAT JULIANNA HAS THAT MIGHT GET THEM BOTH KILLED. I GOT TO ABOUT 79% AND STILL COULDN’T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON (I loved that). I DID KNOW WHER THE THUMB DRIVE WAS HIDDEN AND THAT WAS ABOUT ALL. GREAT ROMANTIC SUSPENSE, I ENKOYED IT. ;D
Loved this first novel by Anne-Marie Clark. It grabbed me from the first chapter and had me flipping pages until the very end. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
