The very first story already shows what a talented and brilliant writer Agatha Christie was. Her writing just draws you in completely. I would go as far as to say that her writing is almost intoxicating. With her short stories; each story manages to draw you in from the very first page. For short stories, they sure are captivating. Her writing is so clever. Truly the work of a mastermind. Even her supernatural like stories are incredible. It seems she was a genius in her writing no matter what the genre. I loved every single story I read; each fabulous in its own right. A great book to read!
a fun read! recurrent motifs and themes but is to be expected imo from 30 short stories of the same author. some wrap-ups seemed too short and left me a bit confused. as a modern reader i didn’t love how everyone got engaged like five seconds after meeting but i recognize that was more common to the time she’s writing in
