Szeto is a perfect example of how Chinese tradition and spirit can perfectly match and strive in the modern world and democratic society. His experience in social movement, his view on communist party and struggles with them, and his relations and treatments with other people(friends, relatives, even enemies), are all very inspiring. His honesty, integrity, loyalty, kindness and persistence preserve much of the essence of Confucianism but also intertwined with the value of liberty, equality, democracy and justice. This book summarised his life, with events in the most important historical moments of Hong Kong and China, and a lot of interesting anecdotes of his interactions, relations with others. In my opinion, his thoughts on life, work and morality are priceless.
