Here ten of today's best science-fiction writers spin tales of otherwhere and otherwhen -- and of the strange (stranger, Strangest) ways men will govern and be governed in times to come.

This is a nice anthology of short science fiction stories with the loosely linked theme of future government. The stories are all from the mid-1950s through the mid 1960s; there's an Edward Hoch story that was first published in The Saint Mystery Magazine, but the rest were all from the digest-sized sf magazines of the time, about half of them from Fantastic Universe, a magazine that Santesson edited. The authors include Robert Bloch, Fritz Leiber, Harry Harrison, Bertram Chandler (without the leading "A."), Miriam Allen de Ford, Arthur C. Clarke, and Wenzell Brown. My favorites were The Eyes Have It by Randall Garrett and A Thing of Custom by L. Sprague de Camp.
