Bad frogs wear bad hats. Bad frogs wear dark glasses & ride their skateboards where they shouldn't. They slouch, chew gum & they never brush their teeth. Could they be good? Crunch their toast quietly? Dress up in tutus? Not a chance! They'll be bad frogs a forever!

Not sure why the frogs are so bad but they do enjoy being bad frogs and I enjoyed going along for the ride! These bad frogs do all sorts of bad things and question if they will be good. Funny book with no real lesson here. Ages 3+
I kept waiting for the redeeming factor in this book, and it never came. I'm not sure how I feel about a book that insists on a certain group being bad "forever".
I am flummoxed that this book was written and published in 2009 not 1949.
The book could have used its platform to talk about bullying or hitting and biting, but instead it is a terrible diatribe against the behaviors of most people alive right now. How dare you kiss your significant other, you silly frogs! You mean you ride a skateboard? Hooligan! And chew gum? What horror!? And dark glasses? Well clearly these are bad bad frogs. I’m surprised he didn’t say baggy pants!
When you get to the point where you’re sure he’s going to tell you that these aren’t bad behaviors, he actually insists that good frogs are the kind of frogs that fall in line and follow the status quo and that bad frogs can never do that.
I give this book 1 star because at least it used bright and bold colors?

Bad frog is all about frogs who misbehave. It's written more to a toddler crowd but preschool will love it especially if you give it sound effects. There is one page that I would skip...bad frogs staying out late kissing their girlfriends. Why would that author put that in there for a book for children?! Anyway I plan on just paper clipping the pages together as that was my only qualm. Word to the wise, these frogs will always be bad so make sure to read it to kids who understand that this is NOT the way to behave.
Those Bad Frogs! Will they ever learn? They use very bad manners at the dinner table (BURP!)...Spilling water out of the bathtub (GLUB!)...Painting the walls. Could they be good? Can they be quiet? NOT A CHANCE.
