This one has it's pros and its cons. The plot has the most majestic ocean liner ever built crossing the Atlantic with the most exclusive passenger list ever. Billionaires, movie stars, politicians, etc. but no "average joes" allowed. Then a mysterious plague strikes the ship and people start dropping like flies, and this starts on the first day.

The story was a suspenseful page turner, but many of the characters seemed like cardboard cut outs without any depth. The characters all seemed like stereotypes with very little truly making them stand out. Of course, considering the way the story went there wasn't a whole lot of time for character development as things went bad so quickly.

The ending has a twist, one that I didn't see coming although I knew something was up, just not exactly how things would play out.

Overall it was worth the read, and if you like disaster stories such as The Poseidon Adventure I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. It's more trashy pulp fiction than literature, but still very fun.
