The Magic Bullet is a novel about a scientist who discovers the secret of life extension. However, the discovery creates all kinds of problems for him. A recluse billionaire in Chicago -- who is dying -- wants to find the secret and sends his men to kidnap the scientist. Also, the Chinese government hires a New York City Mafia don to find the scientist and learn the secret. The scientist hides out in the Barataria swamps below New Orleans and joins a motorcycle gang en route to the biker's rally at Sturgis, South Dakota, where he is captured by the billionaire's men and taken to Chicago. The reader will laugh and cry but will never forget the dramatic climax.
Former Louisiana senator Bill Keith earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Wheaton College in Illinois.
