Manny of these essays were excellent. Many of the ideals spoken about here stem from the Scriptures and have been departed from in political life. Christians are responsible for building them back up.

I found this book to be repetative. A lot of the arguments Roosevelt makes tend to repeat in multiple chapters. Especially about American morals and vitality. Also, his repeated claims that the military needs to be expanded and better funded is constantly repeated. The messages were good and did show a lot of the characteristics that TR is known for, but at least for me, I didn't enjoy this book much at all.
