Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Serial Killers hold a repulsive fascination for those interested in crimes, motives and the legal system. Often intelligent, seemingly well-adjusted people, the psychological aspect of serial murder is a complex issue of study. This book presents an introduction to serial murders before turning to an examination of famous examples. Common characteristics, both psychological and experiential, of a serial killer profile are discussed to give a better overview of the possible psychological and sociological factors influencing these people. Finally, serial killers are presented according to their motives: visions, goal-oriented and hedonism.
