Ok I’m a sucker for this series.

It’s sort of a captive forced marriage. Russian bratva guy and the sister of Italian mobsters. The Italians betrayed the Russians, so this is Vlad’s way to get retribution. I loved the extra aspect of Alessia’s illness. It’s over the top and smutty, but these are just good jealous and possessive alpha mafia reads, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!

I am really loving this series.
The little sister of the mighty Mafias getting kidnapped and married to a Russian Mafia❤️❤️
Vlad is something else. Being in the mafia in his entire life he can't come to the terms of hurting anyone. He is one of a kind to keep his prisoner in luxury and then donating his KIDNEY to her🔥🔥
Alessia on the other hand is so caring that you won't feel that she's been brought up into a mafia family. Their love is so unadulterated that no one could separate them anymore.

DELICIOUSSSS and HOT! this was pretty unexpected, not as dark as it seemed. I loved loved how Vlad basically took such good care of his Alessia, and also how many times did he monitored Alessia's blood sugar LOL it was like almost unnecessary but its so sweet.

AND! i loved how he got her HOMEMADE FRIES!! damnn that was so so sweet
but also, the part where Vlad DID have a baby with ow bothered me a little but well, he took full responsibility and i really appreciated that haha! This was a really good book and im reading the other books of this series too

Someone needs to research diabetes.

I know this isn't a medical book but diabetes is easily researched. If blood sugar is tanking, you don't give insulin. You need sugar to bring it up. If the blood sugar level is high, then you need insulin. Someone with stage 3 kidney disease needs to be very careful and adequate hydration, with water, is extremely important. Salt intake must be kept very low and fast food, like French fries are definitely a no no. In fact all fast food is a no no. If you're going to include diabetes and kidney disease in a story, sorry, but get the information correct.

I have been waiting to read this book since the sneaky peek!! And i loved every second of it!! It was dangerous, steamy, forbidden and well made me love Vlad and Alessia as a couple!!

Vlad has set out for revenge against the brothers what better way then to kidnap a girl all the brothers love their baby sister.. and boy for mafia men the sister getting kidnapped was easy also Mika the 12 year old kid that reminded me of shorty from Indiana jones as the getaway driver 😂😂😂😂 he was a great kid in this story who saw some dark times.

I love Alessia she was fiery, sassy and had a hint of brattyness just to piss off Vlad knowing when she did it he got annoyed lol. And beside being kidnapped and guarding her heart she has diabetes and a level 3 kidney failure and watching Vlad freak out and be such a softie had me dying.. as for Vlad he was cold, stubborn and love pushing his girls buttons plus those dirty sinful lips and punishments lordd 🔥🔥🔥🔥

It did lose a star for me for the "ons ex who had my baby but she manipulate me to think she was prego but it was my kid/ but didn't believe her so she gave it up for adoption and now months later i adopted the little girl" story line...honestly the secret/non secret kid wasn't really needed 🙄 it was totally random and was probably placed in their since his girl cant get prego.. :/

I've enjoyed this entire series and must say Renee Rose did a excellent job in writing Vlad and Alessia's engaging and steamy story! I've never read a book where the character's illness (kidney failure due to diabetes) was handled so sensitively!




Although Vlad kidnapped Alessia as revenge for her brother, Junior Tacones killing his loyal men, he never expected to fall for his captive bride!



Yes, Vlad was a very powerful and controlling bookkeeper for the Bratva, but he was also very loving and passionate to Alessia, his little Mika as well as all the people who worked for him.

The only thing he wouldn't do was to let Alessia go!

I am in LOVE with Renee Rose’s His Queen of Clubs! I so loved Alessia and Vlad. I loved their story and their journey. Although he abducted her in the beginning, it turned out that Alessia, an American mafia “princess” and Vlad, a “money man” for the Russian mafia, are truly perfect for each other in so many ways. You keep hoping they would just see this as the story progresses. The story also includes Mika, the orphaned boy, whose tale will clutch at you throughout the book. I wouldn’t say there were a lot of scary twists and turns, but enough angst and alarming characters to keep you on edge until the end. The “gifts” Vlad gives Alessia, and how the author wraps them up in their HEA will have you bawling. Five star reading!

IGNORE THE STARS AND READ THE REVIEW.

This is honestly one of the hardest books I’ve reviewed because I love Vlad and Mika, but there are so many more things I hate. Just read…

Vlad (sexy Russian mafia guy) goes to Vegas to get revenge on the Tacone family for when Junior killed all those Russian men in the last book. Vlad decides to kidnap their sister, Alessia Tacone (youngest in the family, teacher, has diabetes) and hold her hostage. Vlad also inherited a kid, Mika (12, orphan, uneducated), when that kid’s parental figure was killed by Junior. So Vlad takes them both to his house in Russia. There’s some serious chemistry between them. Mika is really sweet. Even though I don’t like the diabetes issue, I’m still into the story at this point. Then sh*t just goes wrong for me and I find more and more things I don’t like.

SEX. There isn’t any. It was over 50% before they even had sex. In the last 4 books of this series, there was lots of sex. I was very shocked that we didn’t get any. They only had sex one time until you get to the epilogue. For me, that’s too late. I’m already pissed at you by then.

DIABETES. A big portion of this book talks about her diabetes and passing out because of low blood sugar and her needing a kidney transplant. That’s no fun for me to read. It’s just depressing.

KIDS. I hate kids in books, and I especially hate other people’s kids in books. That said, I really did like Mika and was ok with him in this one. Then, we have an issue of her not being able to have kids and discovering that Vlad was tricked into getting this evil woman pregnant. In the end, Vlad takes the baby and he and Alessia raise it together, along with Mika. I f*cking hate that. I don’t want my MMC to have a baby with some other woman!!! I would have been happier if they just had Mika and then adopted a baby from the orphanage!!!! I freaking hated this. This made me want to lower the stars.

BRATVA. So Vlad makes a big deal about having to go see his pakhan and how he’s afraid that Alessia and Mika will be taken from him. In the end, the pakhan just lets them go. Why make a big deal about it and not have anything come of it? Then while there, Vlad’s evil ex gives Alessia a burner phone and convinces her about the baby being given away. I just hate how she believes this woman’s tale. When you go into a place where you know the people aren’t good and are possibly going to hurt you, you don’t believe them when they tell you stuff. I just didn’t like anything about that situation.

VLAD’s EX. So at the beginning, he talks about being tricked by a woman he had sex with. It’s this big thing and then at the end she turns out to be telling the truth the entire time. I don’t want to like his ex. Don’t make me be friends with her!!! I hated that part. Plus it was really confusing.

BREAK. So as with all books of this nature, the couple has to break up and then reconcile. They are away from each other for way too long. I was super unhappy with that.

There are so many things I hate, I really want to give it a 1. But I really loved Vlad and Mika, and you know I have a thing for Russians. Though this book doesn’t have anything Russian in it other than a few words. But still…..

Up until around 40% I was convinced this was an easy 5 stars. Then things just went so wrong.

THIS feel-good MAFIA/BRATVA romance is a WINNER!
OMG, author Renee Rose’s newest BRATVA/MAFIA romance, “HIS QUEEN OF CLUBS,” is Amazing, outstanding, PHENOMENAL and every other adjective that will help me say that this one will curl your toes, blow you away, and have you swooning in no time! As her fans will attest, Rose’s prose is eloquent, descriptive and easy to read, her characters are marvelously well-developed, easy to love, and will have readers hoping and praying that what looks impossible will happen. Yes, like nearly all of her romances, “HIS QUEEN OF CLUBS” will give readers gobs of romance and that promised happy ending. However, it is how that HEA is achieved is what had me so emotional I cried crocodile tears and laughed out loud! I suspect any lover of romance, STEAM and the MAFIA trope will love this novella just as much, so I have to give it 4.5 stars even though I usually hold novellas to four stars. I voluntarily read a copy of “HIS QUEEN OF CLUBS” and this is my voluntary HONEST review! Get your copy of “HIS QUEEN OF CLUBS” today! You’ll be so glad you did. Happy pages! 😉

I am so in love with this series... This time we get the sister of the Tacone Family... And what a sister she is. Of course, none of us that have read this series should be surprised. Alessia is a strong-minded, beautiful woman that may be protected by her family, but nobody should mess with her.

Vlad wants his revenge on the Tacone family. And he sees Alessia as his way in. But kidnapping her is one thing; once he gets her in his home, things change rapidly. I freaking love this guy. He is so alpha and takes charge of Alessia that you have to fall in love with this guy.

Renee has written one of the best stories I have read this year!! Keep them coming!

This is a good series but it's getting repetitive. If you're a binge reader like me you'll notice it's the same ol same ol. Even the sex or should I say especially the sex.

Since Junior had to kill off the Russian cell in Chicago when he was set up Vlad had to come up with a plan to get even with him. He wanted to hurt the whole family so he went after the youngest... the sister. If not for her medical alert bracelet he could have killed her but it and his smarts saved her. He was still keeping her though.

Took her to Russia and forced her into a marriage. Don't think he had to do that but he was smitten with her. These two do the usual dance of I'm not and you are...lol. Thing is he has only one person who started out helping him ..a young boy who needs structure. Alessia is a teacher and loves kids so they do come to an arrangement. That's until we get to the OW drama and they have a big blow up. He is not there when her medical condition becomes worst but he does save her and then let's her go.

After returning to Vegas and healing her body is well but not her mind. Vlad is having the same problem but can Russia mob and Italian mob work together after everything they have done to each other.

Le complicazioni arrivano subito dopo il rapimento per il geniale Vlad, che non aveva calcolato alcuni dettagli vitali per il successo dell’operazione. Poco male. Non si perde d’animo e diventa anche un bravo infermiere, così da supportare Alessia nelle crisi dovute al suo problema di salute.

Ho trovato il romanzo godibilissimo e più accurato di tutti gli altri della serie. I due personaggi sono complessi e con una forte personalità, un’accoppiata perfetta! Nel limbo in cui si svolge la maggior parte del racconto, la convivenza forzata li porta a conoscersi approfonditamente.

Lei è una donna disillusa dalla vita, estranea al mondo malavitoso, come la maggior parte delle donne della mafia. Lei soffre per questa condizione, perché avrebbe voluto maggiore libertà per esercitare il lavoro dei suoi sogni, essendo laureata in Educazione della Prima Infanzia. La sua malattia (il diabete) le ha tolto ogni speranza di poter avere dei bambini suoi, una condizione deleteria che non fa altro che incupirla.

" Soffro sapendo che non avrò mai niente di tutto questo: il sentimento, la fuga d’amore, dei figli.
Quello che spetta a me, la principessa della famiglia, è un grande matrimonio virginale in chiesa con un uomo d’onore scelto da mio padre."


Vlad è un pezzo da novanta, un bel pezzo di… testa (che credevate?!). Come tutti i protagonisti dei mafia romance, non gli viene risparmiato un passato buio e difficile. Il presente si porta dietro una brutta delusione d’amore, che lo ha reso guardingo verso l’universo femminile; ma l’attrazione fra i due è dietro l’angolo, e la passione riscalderà i loro animi.

Il piccolo socio di Vlad è un personaggio secondario di grandissimo rilievo, che movimenterà le fredde giornate di Alessia in Russia.

Il finale è bello movimentato, con degli sviluppi inaspettati e al cardiopalma.

International alpha sizzle

I loved this engaging story. Bringing the Russians into the Vegas Underground family worked very well, and I loved the evolving love interest between Vlad and Alessia. Wish I could do justice to the Russian accent in my head, but I'll look forward to the audio book for that. Even though he kidnapped her for revenge, it quickly becomes apparent that Vlad and Alessia are destined to be together, and with the orphaned Mika (and a surprise) form a family unit where none was before. And the kidney - brilliant. Five stars because Renee Rose delivers great love stories and her writing is always spank-tastic! If you haven't read the rest of the Vegas Underground series, start with King of Diamonds now!

Miss Rose was one of the first authors I came across when I discovered this genre. She has not failed to disappoint with her characters, plot, setting, or spice over all these years. So, it's not surprise that this latest installment is a home run as well.

I remember reading the shoot-out between the two mobs and thinking, whew, our guys are OK. It didn't occur to me that revenge would be on the menu later on. What goes around, comes around, eh?

The scenes are equally horrible and enchanting. There was a terrifying international plane trip, there was an escape, there was a dangerous medical situation. You name it, it was there. Love, sacrifice, forgiveness, it's all in there. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

This story was amazingly steamy, okay it was H.O.T. and such a fun read. I love mafia books, especially when they contain a hot alpha man and a sassy but equally fun woman. This was the first book in this series that I have read, and I found it wonderful. I was not lost so I would say this is a standalone within a series.

The character’s were well developed and fun to read about. I was rooting for their HEA from the first page. The plot was interesting and very well done. I liked the way the main character got his revenge. I cannot wait to read more in this series and from this author! Loved it. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

What do you get when you have a hot alpha mafia man and a brave female lead battling an illness? A freaking amazing read, that's what!
There is so much going on here, which i do not want to give any spoilers away, but i can tell you that once you start reading you will not want to stop. You will fall in love with Vlad and Root for Alessia. These two together are magic. I would highly reccomend reading this beautiful journey, that does have its ups and downs but a rewarding hea!!

Loved the story of Alessia and Vlad. What started out as a kidnapping, to avenge mafia killings, turns into a beautiful love story. There are many ups and downs before there is a happy ending and that is what makes this a great love story. Along the way two children come into their lives and they add to the storyline. It is well written, entertaining and keeps your attention. This is a great addition to the Vegas Underground series and I would highly recommend it as a great read.

IDK...the kidnapping thing bothered me. The reason I'm able to read this [series] is the fact that it's crime family lite. Not a lot of real deal dark stuff happens here - which is why I love it. THis one was a little darker (and they've been getting a tiny bit darker each time) but since they were close to sparkling in the beginning, IDK how much complaining I can do...

Mentre Vlad era a Mosca per occuparsi degli affari della madre, Junior Tacone e i suoi fratelli hanno smantellato l'organizzazione di Chicago.

Vlad è cresciuto tra violenza e omicidi, ha fatto di tutto per rendersi indispensabile all'interno della Bratva, il suo compito è occuparsi del riciclaggio del denaro sporco, sa parlare varie lingue, ha accumulato negli anni una fortuna spropositata ed è sopravvissuto a innumerevoli aggressioni.



Due personaggi ben caratterizzati, Vlad è un uomo pericoloso, scaltro, potente, invece della violenza preferisce usare l'ingegno.
Nella vita è stato tradito più volte dalle donne rendendolo freddo e diffidente, ma in fondo ha un gran cuore.
Alessia riesce ad abbattere le sue barriere permettendogli di mostrarsi per ciò che è: premuroso, protettivo e gentile.
Alessia è una donna straordinaria, affronta tutto a testa alta senza sottomettersi, forte, coraggiosa, consapevole di provare per Vlad qualcosa di speciale che non aveva mai provato per nessuno, è tutto ciò di oscuro, sporco e autoritario che non aveva mai immaginato di volere ma, che in verità, ha sempre voluto e si affida a lui anima e corpo.
"Voglio possederla in ogni modo. Voglio sculacciarla, dominarla, viziarla. La voglio in ginocchio mentre mi guarda con quei grandi occhioni siciliani, ansiosa di compiacermi."

Avevo letto già i precedenti volumi e li avevo trovati un pò banali, con il solito cliché e lo stile un pò acerbo, nonostante ciò non mi sono dispiaciuti, perché le storie erano molto intriganti o forse perché amo i mafia romance, sono contenta di aver dato ancora una possibilità a questa autrice, perché in questo libro ho trovato una grossa evoluzione.

Lo stile è migliorato molto, più maturo e più accattivante, anche se secondo me si è persa un po' alla fine, quello che è successo negli ultimi capitoli mi è sembrato buttato lì a caso, tanto per dare un finale.

Un po' troppo fantascientifico ciò che è successo, ma comunque la storia è piacevole, adatta per passare un paio d'ore in completa relax.

Lo consiglio a chi ama i Mafia Romance e gli uomini dominanti, possessivi e passionali che quando incontrano la donna della loro vita fanno di tutto per proteggerla e amarla incondizionatamente.

Russian Diversion

I love that Alessia found her match. We haven't seen much of her in the previous books in the series, but getting to know her in His Queen of Clubs has been a wild ride.
Vlad is kind of yummy in a growly way, and I think I may officially be a mafia romance fan after reading this series.

This maybe my favorite one. A grumpy Russian Bratva kidnaps the Italian mob princess. I love how it took care of her when she was sick, and what he did to help her get better.
