This book was written to enable mother who have had breast reduction surgery to breastfeed their babies. although written directly to the mother who wishes to breastfeed after reduction, this book is also a valuable resource for health care professionals--surgeons, physicians, midwives, pediatrics and maternity nurses and lactation consultants. This first of its kind publication addresses questions and myths whether its possible to breastfeed after breast reduction surgery.
Has some great information! I was surprised at the continual mention and praise of fenugreek without once mentioning the possible side effects to baby as well as the fact that it can actually have the opposite effect and cause a decrease in milk supply. They did mention that the breast “sandwich” was no longer recommended. Overall, if you’ve breastfed before and had a reduction it’s a great book. If you’ve had a reduction, but never breastfed, I’d recommend this book as well as making sure to read others.
