There is something mesmerising about lightning. It is a phenomenon of natural energy that humans have long sought to understand and have often done so wrongly.
I Chase Lightning is a poetic examination of the historic world of folkloric, superstitious, religious, and scientific explanations for the cause of lightning, as well as the attempts made to control it. While scientific advances have helped us understand it, lightning is still too strong a force for us to safely harness. The only impact we have had on lightning is accidental. We have summoned more of it, thanks to our hand in global warming.
