Lacking

There was a disconnect to the story. There was a lot of disbelief in it for me. The plot itself is on the side of ridiculous foolishness.
If Luciano can read her so well, why is it that he cannot read and know that she truly did not remember him? Same for her being scared of flying. It’s even written how he knows all of her nuances, yet he still harping on her faking having amnesia? Huge contradiction.
More, given his resources and abilities to get information, why would he not know that she genuinely suffered from amnesia?
And the repeated bs of she can’t ask questions to try to recover memories is ridiculous. “Amnesia sufferers can’t ask leading question.” This ridiculous nonsense is written to be said by Luciano to Jasmine. Eye. Roll.
Her father was not the only known next of kin, at least he would not be if Luciano had produced their marriage certificate, then father is no longer next of kin, so it made no sense that that was not done. especially given the nature of the relationship negativity the father had towards Luciano. More, the hospital would know that the father was not next tot kin, because she’s wearing wedding rings! Father tell hospital that the husband was deceased? Luciano conceding to her father’s statements about staying away, ridiculous. It didn’t make sense that Luciano would do that. And he never gets more information from the hospital regarding the whole issue that he assumed based on information given to him by her father, not even following up in finding out the real? Never spoke to the doctor. Not believable.
The whole scene that was caused from Luciano‘s viewing of a rag gossip media site, just added to the ridiculousness. This is when he confronts her about what he thinks happened? The whole plot intent of him getting revenge for this reason, it doesn’t work. It’s foolishness.
And sorry, Jasmine forgave her father way too easily. What he did was utterly despicable, how can that be forgiven so easily? If at all, but it was way overly easily done.
Not sure about reading the next in this series. Seems to be will be Nick’s story, the bit I red, I just don’t know. It’s a maybe.

Review The reminder

She lost her memories and have no clue who her husband is or where he is, she only have a wedding ring she wants to wear. After several weeks, her husband track her down, but it is not the joyful meeting you would expect.

It's an easy story with mystery, love, sex and sorrow. Yes, they all excist in the book. The love is between the two main characters and of course the sex. The sorrow is, well one thing is her loosing her memories, but she has flashbacks everynow and then that will give you a glimt into the past. The second thing you just have to read about to see as well qs the mystery.

I enjoyed this book, it is well written with a bit sassy female main character, and it is funny to take part of her thoughts. I like that the book is written both from her perspective and his perspective, it gives you better understanding for both character and just gives a better connection to the book and story.

The ending however is a little bit out of the blue and a dissapointment for me, and this is also the reason I give the book 4 stars out of 5. I would recommend this book for anyone in the mood for a cozy, bit steamy romance.

To say I wasn’t thrilled with this story is beyond an understatement. From the misogynistic actions of the men in her life to all of her own self doubt, the leading character couldn’t have been less interesting. While the concept was well intended, the execution of the mental injury of amnesia was very poorly researched and thought through.

Overall, this needs a serious, edit, not only for grammatical cares, but for storyline and continuity as well. It was just not it for me… I definitely prefer my leading ladies to have a little bit of a spine rather than simpering over what other people think of her and not learning anything, and instead only being yelled at by literally all of the men in her life, trying to make her feel small, and then gaslighting her into thinking that they love her again. Not the vibe…

I loved reading Lukas and Jasmine's story. I love the memory loss plot element as it made the story a lot more interesting and emotional to me. My heart broke for Lukas and I was intrigued the entire time to learn why Jasmine did what she did.

Her father fit well as a villain. Some of the scenes were a tad bit confusing, but it didn't bother me much by the end of the book. I ended up reading this one in one sitting. Overall, a nice little romance treat. Will definitely be reading other books by this author!

I had a bit of a hard time liking Lukas. He seemed so cold and hard to start. But as the story unfolded, I came to understand him better. I enjoyed the characters and storyline and am looking forward to the next book.

A quick and compelling read I thought I read on original release, but apparently not
A page turned that kept me needing to know the answers, and left me purchasing the next book immediately after finishing

Honestly this book was a big bummer for me. The writing was bad, it just seemed very flat and lackluster. Hard for me to feel any emotion. The only reason I finished this book is because it was so short.
