Comprehensive summary of things worth knowing (and in most of the cases investigating deeper on other sources) before, during and right after having a baby.
As a husband I found it very insightful to better understand what my wife is going thru and be able to perform better for her and my newborn.

Good material, yet a few concepts or approaches could be dated as latest edition was from 2005.

A fairly comprehensive look at pregnancy and childbirth. I found this informative and helpful throughout my pregnancy. I wish there had been a little more in depth talk about things that might happen during labour and birth. Would very much recommend for first time parents.

A wonderful month-by-month guide to pregnancy. I used it as a guiding and comforting resource through each of my five pregnancies. The cover of my book is different, but the author is the same. In my copy there is a lot of nudity which is factual and informative, but in my view makes it neccessary to keep it away from my children and my husband.

this is a good pregnancy book. because it covers so much (from conception through the newborn phase), the treatment of some topics is somewhat light. but it does have lots of good information and a pro-women tone. i especially like the fact that it is balanced (in terms of medical/natural birth philosophies).

Brief and valuable information about all kinds of changes that meet a woman during her pregnancy and first weeks after the baby's birth. The book focuses on women and their bodily and emotional aspects that pregnancy brings along, however, it does not forget to mention men and how they feel about all changes that their partner experiences.

A good friend gave me this book shortly after I learned I was expecting. I've really appreciated it. It's an easy read with lots of bullet points and pictures, but there's good solid data in it - always presented in an upbeat, non-scary manner. As the big day draws nigh I've derived some comfort from reading the latter chapters about labor and delivery.

It's got great pictures (even a picture of a woman giving birth to a breech baby)! Jordan studied this book intently during my pregnancy with Leah - must have been why she wasn't grossed out at watching her being born. ;)

This book has been an essential guide to me throughout my pregnancy. I refer to the same chapter even quite frequently. I only wish there was a larger section of the book dedicated to fitness during pregnancy.

Everyone in this book is wearing clothes so hideous that I cannot take in any of the information. Too many pictures of men with bad hair caressing the stomachs of women in smock tops. Count me out.
