Susan B. Anthony by Barbara Weisberg tells us about the life of Anthony. She impacted the nation from her work in women equality from temperance to women suffrage. She fought for suffrage as her main goal. Without a husband or children she had time to work on the Women's Rights movement. She inspired many other women as well as making woman suffrage known to many people. This book is good to get yourself introduced to her and is a good place to start. Anthony persevered for suffrage and didn't stop through her radical actions, speeches, and spirit and in the end after her death resulted in the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote. Before her death, however, at her last speech she said one of the famous quotes we most remember her by today, "Failure is impossible."
What an amazing and unselfish woman - Susan B Anthony - a tireless advocate for the rights of women as well as Blacks. I gained a better appreciation for Miss Anthony and her friend-in-arms, Elizabeth Cady Stanton as well as other women advocating for the basic rights we take for granted today. Because of them, I have the privilege of voting.
