Décimo-primeiro volume da série Fortunes of Texas.

Nothing is more bitter then old regrets. So Cole Cassidy (Fortune?) knows all about bitterness from past mistakes, especially how he treated his first love, Annie Jones.
Now, Lilly Cassidy is being framed for Sophia's murder so Cole (the only son and eldest child of Lily) is jumping into action to save his mother. He will do anything to solve the mystery of who actually killed Sophia, even join up with Annie on a stake out.
I liked how smart Lily was about her children (except Maria, but evil is god at hiding, even from mothers). PI Annie Jones is a nice good person which makes the fact that she forgives the actions of Cole understandable, but I'm not sure that I would ever trust ever again someone that abandoned me once.
A second chances Western contemporary romance with one sexy scene when people find each other again as adults because children make some many painful mistakes and regrets. The murder of Sophia is being detected by Annie and Cole so they can find a way to free his mother Lily and she can finally marry Ryan Fortune. I am frustrated that through out the story the family thinks about calling/visiting Marie in Leather Bucket, but never do, because that would solve the original kidnapping mystery with one visit!!! ACK! I am emotionally invested with the community and they need to get smarter!
