Daniel Boone's Echo

Rate this book
A fun read of the legend of Daniel Boone. From the front "Once in Kentucky, they settled in a valley so wide that it took an echo a longish spell to come back from the other side. Daniel could call out the last thing at night, "Wake up boys, it's getting-up time," and in the morning, as the skies were turning yellow, that old echo would come back a-shouting and wake them up."

This edition is proof of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! Unattractive front, but great inside!

These tall tales about Daniel Boone (and his "simple-minded" side-kick) made my kids and I laugh so much more than we were expecting, and simultaneously painted a picture of old-world bravery, the Cumberland Gap, and adventuring in the Kentucky wilderness.
