This little 40 page illustrated cookbook features lots of watercolor food illustrations, 10 delicious recipes, and thoughts on art, family, life and just about any other little thing that comes to mind from the creators of Doodlewash®, a website dedicated to promoting creativity through watercolor painting and sketching. Doodlewash is a thriving community for watercolor artists all over the world, and it all started with just a love of painting, stories, and yes, food! While Philippe cooks each evening, Charlie quickly paints a watercolor illustration and rambles on about various things that come to mind on his blog each day. Charlie's studio is still, to this day, the edge of the kitchen counter, and now, for the first time, you can enjoy a little taste of Philippe's dishes as well!
Charlie O’Shields is the creator of Doodlewash®, host of the Sketching Stuff podcast, and a big kid at heart. For 2,000 consecutive days, he created a little watercolor illustration in his sketchbook and shared a short story about whatever came to mind that day. A selection of those stories and illustrations were published in his book: Sketching Stuff – Stories Sketched From Life.
In 2016, he founded World Watercolor Month in July, an annual charitable event supporting arts education, featuring the 31 watercolors in 31 days challenge, which welcomes people from all over the globe at any skill level, using any method or style of watercolor painting or coloring they love most!
His true passion is inspiring as many people as possible to sketch and paint and help artists of all ages reconnect with their inner child, natural creativity, and just have tons of fun!
