After four years facing life and death on board Babylon 5, Susan Ivanova faces her greatest challenge yet. Promoted to Captain, she is assigned command of the Titans, the first of Earth Alliance's revolutionary new Warlock-class destroyers. When Babylon 5 is attacked by an aggressive unknown alien race, the Titans is dispatched to hunt them down. Having taken part in the rebellion to liberate Earth from the clutches of the despotic President Clark, Ivanova finds herself commanding a crew wary of her true allegiances on a warship that is not all that it seems. Battling a constant stream of memories incurred from Marcus' death and the realization that she has broken away from Babylon 5 forever, Ivanova faces the demons which haunt her and rises to the occasion to fight the first of many battles, professional and personal.
Claudia Christian is an American actress, writer, singer, musician, and director, best known for her role as Commander Susan Ivanova on the science fiction television series Babylon 5.
Here's the complete chronology: chapters 1-16 are concurrent with episodes #419-421, telling things from Ivanova's point of view. Chapters 17-18 lead up to the short story "Hidden Agendas," written by Straczynski (which takes place after episode #502), and, again, retells this story from Ivanova's view in chapters 19-21, so you won't have to spend a hundred dollars finding the Official Babylon 5 Magazine #22. Chapter 22 takes place after episode #504, and the rest of the book is a sequel to that episode, with Sheridan asking Ivanova to hunt down the mysterious aliens that attacked Babylon 5. My best guess is the book ends in April 2262, several months before "Red Fury" starts.
Not being a canon book it felt like it! The story it's about Susan Ivanova after Marcus dead and her fist big mission as a commander of a Warlock class destroyer named EAS Titans. The story told could be divide in Susan before taking command, a big tied-in with the "hidden agendas" short story by JMS, and the fist big mission. Could have more or a faster pace? yes it could, but for a Babylon 5 fan it's a very nice return to that universe.
