About the author

Selwyn Hughes was a Welsh Christian minister best known for writing the daily devotional Every Day with Jesus. He founded the Christian ministry CWR and wrote over fifty Christian books. George Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, described Hughes as a "giant in the faith".

I got this Bible for Christmas. I had never heard of this version before but I love it. It's easy to read and understand. When comparing NIV and NKJV to this it seems to be a nice blending of the two. It has the modern ease of NIV without losing the familiar sentence structure and thoroughness of the NKJV.

I bought my copy secondhand and am very pleased with it. There are 365 daily readings with devotionals written by Selwyn Hughes. This is a great encouragement for me to read and study the whole bible, as there are some books in the bible I have not read yet. Also, the Holman CSB translation is a good choice for a devotional study of the bible.
