Snake Bite

Rate this book
Dear Author,
This poor man is a living Tarzan . . . stuck in the forest living life in solitude . . . that is until you happened across him.

Now remember, he knows nothing about love, gentleness and seduction . . . he's always just taken what he's wanted, and he wants you.

Photo Description: The machete blade dominates the picture, implacably pointed at the viewer's face. The man behind it is young, bare-chested and dark-skinned, with cropped hair and cool charcoal eyes under winged brows. His cheekbones are as sharp as the knife, and the set of his full lips just as cold.

This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Hot Summer Days" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.

Read the story here or find it in Don't Read in the Closet, Volume 4.

Real, believable and thoughtful. Your tender story reveals closeted emotions, realisations and hope.
“I’ve always wanted to be the person I am in this moment. I know it’s because of you that I feel this way. I feel like myself for the first time.”
A pleasant read David, thanks.

*** 3 jungle stars ***

I liked it, despite the bit unrealistic setting and ending. But then again, the story followed the fulfilled the prompt.

I started reading this book months ago, like six months ago. I found the MC too stupid to live and totally annoying. i put the book down and never bothered to come back to it or any other story in the anthology until now. I am going to try and finish it

Finished. So after boring start and way too stupid to live the mcs meet. Have sex (oral and cock rubbing) and then decide to move in together. The end! No tension or plot and you know nothing about the characters besides ones tstl and other lives in jungle. Yeah there isn't much to this story at all.

I liked it, there was detail. I personally felt like there was character build too but it was extreemly rushed. I know it's almost impossible to right a short story and give HEA feel without making it fast but this had a short cut to the fastes route feel to it. I still really enjoyed it though.

Yay, hot jungle lovin' and hope for the future! I'm glad they were able to find some common ground despite their very different backgrounds. Great job on building a story around that picture, David, thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Off to check out more on Undergear...;)
