Describes Canadian political life and the role that Christians can play by applying their faith to politics, and making a positive impact in their communities and their country.
Michael has written a great starter for Canadian Christians. He doesn't pick one issue over another, and the history components, while brief, are key for us to be aware of.
Some good points, kinda off (promotion of democracy) & dry-ish in other areas. Overall okay though. Quoted MacArthur on the church & politics near the end ("when the church invests time, money, & human energy in political causes, we waste our resources") & destroyed his argument relatively well so I was happy to read that.
I enjoyed learning about Canada's Christian heritage and about how our government works (a topic I was fairly ignorant on). Appreciated the call to political involvement from ARPACanada as well.
Great book -- for Canadian readers. Lots of thoughtful reflection, but also practical tips on making a difference. It would be great to have an Australian edition.
