The world may have Prima but Robbie has Mellie.
Prima Simms, a rock star diva, is about to perform an exclusive divorce concert in Kissing Springs to celebrate getting the worse mistake of her life, Bruce Mcmillan, out of her life. He'd spent his time in their marriage trying to control her money, career and life. If that wasn't bad enough, her own mother had held her hostage over the summer trying to re-gain control of Prima's career. Her twin sister, Sara, just doesn't understand her desire to do such a concert, especially since Prima has a stalker who has been sending threatening letters to her.
Robbie Boyd is the Chief of Police in Kissing Springs. He's also one of the few people who treats Prima as though she's a person and not a rock star diva.

I just admit I wasn't a big Prima fan prior to this book...and even the start of this one! But, she won me over! Love Robbie and his dedication to Kissing Springs.

Shorter novel it could’ve turned into dark with stalker angle but stayed more in the made for tv movie realm. There was one beautiful monologue with Max that had me in tears (again they could’ve totally drawn that out), but otherwise ok story.

A magnificently written story about a rock star who has been having a bad time finding the police chief to be the one she needs in her life.
She’s a rock star who has had a bad couple of years with getting a divorce from a guy who forced into overextending herself just to get her money as well as taking her money when learned that she was divorcing him and the mother who held her hostage during the summer just to get what she wanted out of her. But now she’s with her twin in a small town. She’s starting to like the chief of police and she flirts with him as much as she can.
He’s the chief of police in the small town, his sister is the mayor of the small town. He has been alone for a couple of years now and since in office they have found the remains of his aunt who had come up missing years ago. Since the rock star came to town his department has been stretched thin with having a stalker but he’s into her.
The rock star has decided that she’s going to start the new chapter of her career holding a concert in the small town as well as making her new album also in the small town with the record label that’s in the town, the record label got her the best producer to do her new album. Since the police force is stretched to the limit they also put together their own security team since they have a retired service member already on their team. While going through everything they also bring out the emails the stalker has sent her.
It doesn’t take any time for the rock star and the chief of police to start doing more than flirting but they’re both worried about getting involved as well as other things, so they decided to keep their relationship a secret. They met up at his sister’s wedding shower and went for a walk. They made it to the walk bridge where they hugged and kissed but someone came up and started taking pictures of them together, he ran them off. Even though they’re both worried about doing it they take the leap, they have sex several times.
The chief of police and his department has gone through everyone who has anything to do with the rock star and they are all clean. A picture has surfaced with the chief of police and the rock star together and in no time the paparazzi have come into town.
Not long after the paparazzi come into town her ex husband shows up at the studio. She tries to run from him but he grabs her and takes her against her will, they talk in the car but she opens the car door while it’s stopped and runs into a grocery store hiding in the cooler for several hours. She calls her twin and tells her what happened and wants her to come get her.
The chief of police shows up and takes her out of town to a cabin in the woods where his mentor lives. Her twin disguised herself to look like her to get the paparazzi going after her and not them so they could make it out of town. While driving to the cabin she told him what happened, he gave her a sweatshirt and let her rest while he drove.
His mentor greeted them at the door of the cabin and let them in. He fixed them food and made them tea. He secluded himself at the cabin after one of his daughter’s came up missing as well as his wife left with the rest of his children. After the rock star was put into bed the chief and his mentor went out to their porch and talked as well as drank some bourbon. The chief found out about his mentor having cancer and was planning to go out in the woods to one of his hunting areas to die. His mentor told him to do something for him, even though he didn’t want to, he agreed to do what he wanted. They stayed up until morning and the mentor had him go to be with the rock star.
The couple woke up to find that the mentor left and that there was little food in the cabin but he made what was there, they get a call from her twin informing them of the email that she got from the stalker. They return to the small town, they stay most of the time at the twin fiancé's place and the twin, her fiancé and his twins go stay with relatives. They go through their normal routines during the day but at night they’re together. He and the producer have been at it constantly and the album is done, the concert is tomorrow. The producer makes some snide comment and she goes off on him about it and the producer informs her that he won’t be around for the concert.
She’s in the dressing room getting ready for the concert and everyone is there. She asks them to leave so she can have some time to herself before the concert. She asks about the producer, no one has seen him. She has the chief go look for him and while he’s doing that they finish putting on her outfit. The security guard comes in with a bouquet of tropical flowers and places them on the table before heading out to his appointed area at the door. She goes for the envelope on the flowers and when she looks at what was in the envelope she drops it, the chief knocks on the door before coming in, they talk for a second before he picks the paper up from the very edge and reads it. Come to find out that the producer was her stalker, he had been wanting her for a long time. She does the concert and has the chief come on stage, they hold hands and kiss.
She makes the small town her home base, she goes on her tours and starts making another album. The chief gets a passport and cuts back on his hours so he can be with her on the road eerie so often. The chief along with some guys finds the mentor's body out on one of his hunting areas, they bury him and at the will reading he gives the cabin to him. The couple fix up the cabin, he reads the letter that the mentor had for him and while they are on the front porch in the rockers that are there he gets on one knee and proposes to her and she accepts his proposal.
An incredible page turner which was easy to read and also had fabulous characters amongst the pagers. A steamy romantic happy ever after for a magnificent story.

A great story about two people finding home in each other. She's a rock and roll queen, writing songs and touring the world. He's the Police Chief of a small town. Their lives are on opposite coasts of the country, yet their hearts are so in tune. How will they make it work?

Prima is the lead singer for a rock and roll band and has come to Kissing Springs to spend some downtime with her sister. Meanwhile, her divorce just finalized, and she's just getting over being kidnapped by her own mother. She's ready to celebrate by doing a Halloween concert. Someone has been sending her threatening letters through her fan club, and seems to be escalating. Everyone around her is more concerned than she is.
The local Police Chief promises to keep her safe, In doing so, they have to spend a lot of time together. The young him was losing his mind with crazy rock and roll fantasies. The now him was getting to know the real Prima, the one that she doesn't show the world. He was falling hard and fast.
Once again, Zee Irwin has titled each of her chapters. Every single one so perfect for that chapter! In this book she has referenced songs that are written / performed by top female artists. I love this idea and I love the song titles she chose, as a lot of those are songs I listen to. Rock on!!!

I love Kissing springs and Zee Irwin.
Have been waiting for Robbie Boyd's romance for ages and it is finally here.
He gets his happily ever after with Prima,who is a rock star and the girl of his dreams.
They both have traumatic pasts and don't trust easily.Robbie has to try and keep Prima safe as well as solve a case.She is off limits,but they cannot deny the attraction between them.
Prima is only in kissing springs to get back out there and it is home for Robbie and he will never leave.
The road to happiness is not easy.They have to deal with danger,mystery,suspense and a stalker.After everything they go through they finally admit their feelings for each other.
Full of drama,tears ,humour,heat,romance,danger,
family support,friendships and a happily ever after.
Loved every second of this book.
Cannot wait for Zee's next book.

Chief Robbie Boyd has his hands full and then some when he is tasked with the arduous job of protecting Prima Simms Rock Star Diva extraordinaire . He though , may be the only person on the planet who treats her as the woman behind her persona . It’s difficult for Robbie because this diva is not taking the threat of a stalker seriously , even her twin sister Sara doesn’t understand why she feels the need to do a celebratory divorce concert. The town is overrun with Paparazzi and Bruce the ex tries to take her away while the Chief himself is threatened by the stalker….Top that off with a cold case to investigate, there’s a wonder he finds the time for a little angsty but sweet romance . Great read , good writing.

I loved this story so much, but and giving it a 4.75 star rating. I was so excited to read Prima’s book and see how her story unfolds. I was not disappointed!
I loved that Prima ended up with Robbie. They were perfect for each other! I had a feeling I knew who was stalking her from the beginning, but I loved how some things would cause me to doubt myself. I loved how protective Robbie was with Prima and finally got to live his fantasy with his favorite rockstar.
I loved visiting all the other characters and seeing how their lives were going. The only thing I wish I would’ve gotten an answer to was if they ever found out what happened to Robbie’s ex’s sister who went missing. Other than that, I absolutely loved this story and can’t wait to read more from the Kissing Springs series and the Derby Knights.

The man is lethal on two legs just with one look...he can melt your heart and make your insides quiver until the sun comes up. He sees Prima as a regular person instead of the rockstar she is, and so takes it upon himself to keep her safe and protected, in his arms and bed preferably. Their romance may be unconventional and not a straight-line but that is what makes this story captivating and a wonderful read.

Robbie and Prima/Mellie come from different worlds. He’s the Chief of Police in Kissing Springs and loves small town life. Prima is a world famous rock goddess and lives the life of a Diva. Prima has had an emotional past few months and she’s ready to cut loose and celebrate. Robbie has declared himself her protector in public but her lover in private. Somehow, these two work. This was an emotional roller coaster with suspense and intrigue and a whole lot of steamy goodness between our characters. Robbie takes a leap and goes all in with Mellie even after surviving a broken heart. Mellie loves to perform and sing but realizes that maybe small town life and coming home to Robbie will give her the family she’s always wanted. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I did enjoy this book but I feel like I am missing a lot of background information on one of the main characters. All through the book Prima was having internal monologues about things that had happened to her in her past that were impacting her in the present. It was a lot of really heavy things and I couldn't get into the story because personally I need information like that so I can understand the characters more. There was some nice steam and I liked how Prima and Robbie were falling for each other. Also, you could see that Prima felt more and more at home in Kissing Springs and I look forward to seeing Prima and Robbie make a home together.

Welcome to Kissing Springs has a spin-off series and what a solid start. Prima Simms is thrilled to be done with her controlling, manipulative ex, so she decides to celebrate with a "divorce concert" in Kissing Springs, even though she has a stalker and her friends and family are against it. But Prima is a diva and a diva does what she wants. Robbie Boyd, Chief of Police in Kissing Springs, treats her like a regular person and he is determined to keep her safe inspire of herself. The book is well paced, full of sizzle, steam, drama, twists, turns, and more. Well crafted, compelling characters and a storyline that grabs you from start to finish, Zee Irwin has done it again.

Prima is a rockstar trying to take back control of her life after being betrayed by her husband (now ex), then kidnapped and held captive by her psycho mother. She just wants to celebrate her freedom and herself with new music and a new start. But she’s picked up a stalker who isn’t leaving her alone even after coming to small town, Kissing Springs, to hide out at her sister’s.
Robbie, the Police Chief, is taking the stalker problem in stride, even when an old town and personal mystery comes to light, and trying to keep his growing attraction to his new client under control.

I’ve really enjoyed the Kissing Springs series. We met Prima in the previous book by ZI and I did not like her. After a rough year, she’s come back nicer while still keeping her diva attitude. Robbie, police chief of Kissing Springs is a fan and an attraction heats up between them. Seeing Prima soften her edges with Robbie was so sweet. They really did support each other.
As always ZI has a well written book, with good pacing. I liked the mystery plot though I did figure it out. It added a layer of intrigue and upped the stakes.

This story is just bliss. Has everything you could want from a book…drama, suspense, action and can’t forget the romance.
Prima and Chief Robbie have great chemistry. She is ready to have a concert to celebrate ending the biggest mistake of her life, her divorce. And Chief Robbie is now responsible for keeping her safe from a stalker.
There are some side stories going on at the same time. Chief Robbie is trying to find out what happen to his Aunt. Her ex husband shows up. Whew!

This was the story of Prima a rock star who is very naughty and Robbie who is a police chief. They meet when she visits her sister. I had difficulty at first, but I didn't like how she acted, even though she has been through a lot and is divorced from a man who abused her. Gradually you understand more why Prima was like that and the fact that she wants Robbie, she does everything she can to find happiness with him. A wonderful story with drama and action and a bit of stalker content and plenty of romance and hot scenes.

Sweet and steamy. Great writing!
The writing style of this author gets me every time. I always enjoy the journey in her books and this one was no different. I quickly devoured this book from the first page to the end and there was a bonus story/epilogue offered after (win!). Small town is a vibe, I love it. I enjoyed the chemistry between Prima and Robbie, but I loved Robbie's character more than Prima's. I also felt I had to wait too long to understand Prima's issues with her mom, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the story. There was a mix of sweet and steamy and the writing was so engaging, I could picture the scenes playing out in my head. Looking forward to more.

This short read is full of heartbreak, betrayal but also full of redemption, new love, new life and most of all believing in themself. This is a small town story about Prima who while celebrating her divorce from her controlling husband and family problems also brings the ex husband coming back later asking for another chance but also brings a fan/stalker? along with her new life. Can Robbie not only help Prima believe in herself again but also bring her safety and possible a healthy love? Read to find out you won’t regret it.

I didn’t care for Prima when I started this book but she grew on me. At first I thought she was whiny and self centered. But as got to know her I started to like her. She still a bit self centered but she’s a rock star so there. The Chief of police Robbie is her perfect foil. With a crazed stalker on her trail can he keep up with her to protect her. Very good story, steamy and enjoyable read and a great HEA. Surprising ending too. I really liked that, not knowing the bad guy til the very end!

Bourbon & Bliss is Book 1 of Welcome to Kissing Springs by Zee Irwin. I liked Robbie and Prima's flirty little romance. He was the quiet country cop and she was the wild and flashy rock star. At first it doesn't look like they belong together but as the story goes on you see that she is quite different from what she first appears. There is a hint of danger surrounding Prima and she is scared of a stalker. They get their HEA and answers to some questions about the town mystery.

This is the police chief, Robbie Boyd’s story and it involves Prima, Sara’s twin. She is in town recuperating from her divorce and being kidnapped by her mother. She wants to have a comeback concert and Robbie, her sister and other members of her team are worried for her safety. Robbie can’t fight his attraction to her and she can’t fight hers to him. I really enjoyed their story, their honesty and openness was a welcome change. I have loved this series and look forward to more of them.

I love this book! This book features Prima the diva and Robbie the hottie Police chief.
There's a lot of tension in this book, what with there being a stalker and things heating up with Robbie.
There's also some sadness 😔 and a lot of happiness 😊. A really great read overall.

Prima is doing a celebration concert for her divorce and Police Chief Robbie is her protection during her stay. She has a stalker, He has a missing aunt. Her ex shows up. The characters are well developed. The storyline has drama, danger, mystery, steam, twists and tension in abundance. Great chemistry, big decisions and entertaining situations. Terrific ending.

This is a emotional roller coaster, with so many ups and downs and a few twists that keep the suspense all the way to the end. Enjoyed the characters and the storyline was intriguing, liked how Prima’s character really developed and grew throughout this whole ordeal. Surprising ending and the bonus scene at the end will also answer some questions.

This was another great love story with strong, lovable characters. I loved the mystery and the interaction of other characters within the story. The attraction between the primary pair was well written, and the love flowed along at a good pace.
