A creative little boy by the name of David Finebloom received a plea for help from the moon because it was falling apart. This story shows children what wonderful things they can do using blocks and their imaginations. Lovely images.
Talk about imagination! I can see a child's mind going all over the place when talking about the moon. This would be a great opener when talking about the moon and then going into an object lesson about it and what it is like. I would go into its purpose ( the difference between night and day). We could even have a fun activity pretending that we, as a class, were going to the moon.
