I absolutely love this series, even though I’m obviously much older than the target audience!
My mum got me the second book in this series as a break from the usual dark thrillers I read and it did just the job! I really loved reading about the kids and their magic.
This book would be great for younger teens as some of the words can be a little sophisticated for younger children.
While this is meant to be a trilogy, I do hope that this series can carry-on!
I'm happy that I finally finished this middle grade fantasy series. Unfortunately this last book was the weakest in the series. My favorite thing is the funny banter between the stag and the bear in this book series but this banter was missing in this story. If there are animal companions in the story, I really want them to be part of the story and not a side character who is mentioned just couple of times.
My other complain is that this story is forgettable because I read this book in May and I'm writing this review in October and I don't remember what happened in this book. I can still remember my other books which I did read in May.
Talán a 2. és a 3. rész csak szimplán gyengébb volt, ki tudja.
I really enjoyed this book. I may have been a little disappointed in who played what role, Jelly in particular, but it was still good. Hedy and Spencer, along with Doug and Stan, are my absolute favorite characters. I actually hope that maybe there will be a separate series for Hedy and her adventures. Guess we’ll see. Check this out if you’re a fan of middle grade level reads. So good!!
Omg baby Stan and Doug!!! I loved the wonderful descriptions, amazing characters and magical places. This was such a lovely trilogy that I really enjoyed and now I am so sad that it's over.
