No doubt it is difficult to cover over 5000 years of history in less than 300 pages. I've already forgotten many of the names and dates poured into this book, but the pictures of artifacts and various architectures were certainly interesting. This book is a slow read but a good springboard for those who want to know about ancient China but don't know where to start looking.
