The Fall of Albion Bay: a modern satire

Rate this book

A laugh out loud modern satire about working amidst relentless red tape, nonstop reforms, and heaps of daft initiatives pouring down from above.

Arnie just wants to work hard.

His new bosses at Albion Bay just want to ‘modernise’.

The result is a disaster.

In this hilarious send up of working in modern Britain, Arnie just needs to get the job done to help win some crucial deals and stay employed. But he is thwarted at every turn by non-stop restructuring, targets, IT systems, outsourcing, daft initiatives, more targets, pointless training courses, the ever growing paper chase, and much more.

And while the conceited bosses are oblivious to the chaos they cause on the ground, Arnie and his co-workers battle on to try to get the job done.

Can they overcome the incompetence of their ‘modernising’ bosses to save the company and their jobs?
