The seventh episode in the latest bulls-eye hit series from the bestselling author of Cherub. Teen rebel and social-media star Robin Hood continues his fight against brutal and corrupt authorities.
Robin Is having fun sabotaging former Sheriff of Nottingham Marjorie Kovacevic's election campaign for President from the safety of his IT centre at Sherwood Castle. Meanwhile his best friend Marion Maid is spending time in Pelican Island, the country's most notorious prison. Then Marion's father, biker-gang leader Cutthroat Maid, offers Robin a chance to help protect Marion from other prisoners. But can they break her free? More high-octane, outrageous action from everyone's favourite teen rebel.
Robert Muchamore was born in Islington, London in 1972. He still lives there, and worked as a private investigator up until 2005 and the critically-accepted release of Maximum Security.
The Hunger Games phenomenon is part of the huge YA / Children's book explosion that has grown, thanks to the British Rat pack of YA authors, Anthony Horowitz, Robert Muchamore, Mark A. Cooper and Charlie Higson. We owe much of the hunger games sucess to authors such as Robert.
Robert was inspired to create the CHERUB series by his nephew after he complained about the lack of anything for them to read. CHERUB: The Recruit was Robert's first book and won the Red House Children's Book Award 2005 in the Older Readers Category.
Following the last book in the CHERUB series, it was revealed that a trilogy would be released starting from August 2011 that will focus on a new set of CHERUB agents centred upon Ryan Sharma and also involve an sixteen year old Lauren Adams. The first book will be called People's Republic.
Check out the Hendersons Boys series. Henderson's Boys is a series of young adult spy novels written by English author Robert Muchamore. The series follows Charles Henderson, the creator of the fictitious CHERUB organisation. CHERUB is currently being made into a TV series.
A great action-packed continuation of the series. I really like the modernisation of these Robin Hood adventures, a great mix of technology, action, and drama.
Robin has just pulled off one of his biggest cyber attacks yet, but things in his personal life are all wrong. The trouble is that everyone knows it and is ready to take advantage of the infamous teen outlaw. Merrion, as having trouble in jail, between gangs and corrupt guards she is a target for everyone.
I think this has been one of my favourite books of the whole series so far. I like that dispite being outlaws there are lines that will not be crossed. I also like there were more fights in this book. Though I do think Robin should have a bit more hand to hand training to keep up with his hacking skills.
Young Marion Maid is in prison, indefinitely, because Robin accidentally left her behind during a robbery. Not only does he have to live with what he's done, whilst still living with Marion's mothers and family, but prison life is cruel, and Marion is being bullied by rival gangs as well. Muchamore gives gritty details of prison life for a young teenager under a corrupt administration and a brutal prison population. Robin, Marion's mothers and her gang leader father Cut-Throat, and their friends, become increasingly anxious about getting Marion out of a prison that has hardly ever had an escape. The tension and action ratchets up as we hope against hope that Marion Maid can survive... and escape. Another unputdownable, adrenaline-fuelled saga from Robert Muchamore.
I LIKE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEM MARION AND ROBBIN I dislike Josie and Alan you can't just cheat and say a bad excuse and get away with it makes no sense ngl I rate the book 8/1o Had action love and mystery
God, I always love how Robert Muchamore can channel so much energy into a book. Marion's escape was by far my favourite part. Can't wait for the next book.
I might not rate them highly, but they are an ok series, a little addictive, action-packed and a heap of fun. They are the type of story where you want to boo or cheer out loud.
