I am having so much fun! (I can’t say that enough!) I’ve learned that it’s OK to be uncomfortable when trying something new and we are all created to be lifelong learners! For a time I thought I was “done” learning. I went to college and had a career. That was enough for me. I had put a ceiling on myself about what I thought I could and couldn’t do. This push to author and illustrate has given me motivation to try things, give myself grace while learning and finding so much joy in my own creativity! I am a big advocate for college. I encourage others to “try” regardless of professional training though, too! Who says there is only one avenue to be successful? I’m not traditionally trained in art, graphic design, editing, coding, marketing, etc. I do have a passion for growing in these areas though and I’ve decided to go for it!

My husband has been my biggest cheerleader and I wouldn’t be able to pursue my dreams to this extent without his support. He believes in me! My girls are watching me try new things. They see my effort to believe in myself and pursue what I think God has created me to do. In the process, they are gaining their own confidence and embracing the creativity that is inside of them too!

I continue to meet people who want to do what I am doing. That may be self-publishing, following their dreams or just removing that self-induced ceiling from their minds. Creating a platform of some kind to teach others what I have learned and assure them that they CAN do it too is on my “To-Do List.” Oh and I make some cute stuff if you want to take a look!
