This is a short second chance story. This brought back memories for me of when I lived in Florida and went through hurricanes. It was crazy how Avery and Walker met for just one night, but more came out of that one night than either expected. I can’t imagine how Walker could leave and go out west to fight forest fires every year. At least the one good thing that came out of the hurricane was that Walker and Avery met up again. Life sure isn’t easy though, so the two have challenges to get through. I encourage you to read the book.
Walker and Avery, two lonely people, spend one night together believing that will be all they have. A year later a hurricane brings them together and the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but first they must overcome the past and his career.
Avery had the best of intentions while Walker showed this true character and I enjoyed seeing them find their way back to each other.
Spark by Nicole Blanchard was a sweet quick read, although I didn’t quite fall for it as much as I had hoped I would. There were certainly some enjoyable moments, I liked the sweetness between the characters, there was more handled than initially anticipated, but I never quite felt the real pull between the characters. It was the final detail that stopped me from loving the story.
Although not quite what I had hoped for, it did make for enjoyable quick reading.
A short story about a firefighter and a waitress meets and has a one night stand. He's a wildland firefighter, even though he has family in the area, he has contracts and doesn't stick around long. They only know each other by first names, so when she ends up pregnant, has no way to contact him. He figures she could have tried harder. They meet again when a hurricane goes through their hometown in Florida. HEA.

Short and sweet. To short and definitely a tease, especially with all those name drops in the epilogue! I really enjoyed this short little story. It gave me a good perspective of what devastation can do. In this case it also brought two lost souls back together. I'm excited to see what is to come next!
The trope here was “one night stand leads to secret baby.” It was cute and sweet, but I always feel like there are no great reasons for keeping a baby secret. The angst was high and the short length contributed to the disconnection I felt. Their love story wasn’t very believable, but I think if there was time for a full length novel, it could have been better fleshed out and more enticing.
This really lacked something for me. It might be because it was a novella so there couldn't be as much depth given. The book starts with the baby being a around 2 months. We get a short breakdown of the back story, then back to current day. Walker's mad about not knowing about the baby then he's not. Just a lot of skipping around and no natural progression.
This is a sweet second chance romance with a hot as sin firefighter. It’s short and moves quickly which I love but doesn’t cut corners. We see Walker and Avery connect immediately and find each other later again. They’re mature and move past their differences quickly. I also love how the author incorporated the location and the natural disaster and made the story all the more real.
Second chance romance secret pregnancy novella. A one night fling leaves behind a souvenir. The two unexpectedly cross paths in the cleanup of a hurricane.
Short, but sweet. Cheesy at the end, like it should be.
This was a very enjoyable this book. Avery and Walker's story hit me right in the feels. The story is cute but short. Walker was quite swoon worthy and a real keeper in my opinion. I liked Avery but I did not like all of her actions or the choices she made. Still, I liked it and in the end it was quite swoony.
What a great short read this was, second chance romances are always my fav. Walker and Avery, one night of passion and talking and it leads to an unexpected surprise. Since Walker is in and out of town, the surprise after a hurricane was definitely on him. Loved the love at first sight connection these two had, now to try and navigate his job that leads him aways for so long.
Spark by Nicole Blanchard is the story of Avery and Walker. Avery and Walker feel the spark when they meet and have a hot encounter. This was a fast read but still very enjoyable.
Cute short story! I don’t fully love the accidental pregnancy trope, but I like the setup with the storm and the hero being a rescuer. Mostly sweet with a bit of passion. Liked the read!
