Learn from the masters!
This book comes as close to Drupal's missing manual as you could hope for. I've heard it said, "No one knows everything about Drupal." These authors may have proven that wrong.
While targeted at developers, there's enough basic set up information and well thought out introductions to each topic for non-technical site developers to gain a lot of insight into this powerful CMS, and get even a first time user up and running.
Each topic is well organized, showing not only how to do something, but why it works, and provides launching points for further study.
Developers need only general expertise in modern PHP to follow along and learn how to use Drupal to its full potential. Experienced Drupal developers will still find a wealth of information. I've been working with Drupal off and on since 2009 (v6), and I still learned a lot, including straightening out a misunderstanding I've had about Views since the beginning.
This is a tome, but there's no wasted space. Very highly recommended!
