What happens when your best friend's boyfriend moves in down the hall and wants to play naughty neighbors? Shelby Whitmore is a strong-willed woman who runs a busy interior design business for wealthy clients. When Shelby's best friend, Diane, introduces her to her boyfriend to get the friends decorating rates, Shelby is inclined to say no. Not because she doesn't want to help, but because she wants to do more than decorate his apartment, and he is clearly off-limits. Zeke Waters is moving up in the world, and with that, a new apartment in a prestigious apartment building. I really enjoyed the book (with a few exceptions). So that's why I gave it 4 stars.
Blurb:
Shelby is a young successful woman who starts falling in love with her best friend's boyfriend. After pushing and pulling, they finally enjoy each other's company. But when her Bestie comes with shocking news, both of them need to rethink their relationship.
What I liked:
The spice! Holy freaking chilli papers! This one was panties-wetting. The steamy scenes were so well written it made me crave more. I swear the dirty talk is on another level in this one!
I also enjoyed the forbidden aspect and the temptation coming with it. But what I LOVED was the fact that they didn't immediately jump into the bed, there was an actual conscience in them, and they tried to resist the attraction.
If I had to rate only the spice, it would've been 5/5.
The writing was also top-level, and it was stealing your attention right from the beginning.
What I didn't like:
Excluding that all the characters were awful people, and I pray I never have friends like them, I think Shelby's thinking, in the beginning, was rude and arrogant. So my first impression of her was very negative. She kept putting people down because they were dumb, or easy and even shames her friend's (very obvious) eating disorder. That was a real red flag.
Overall, the story is wonderful, and I strongly recommend it.

This is short and sweet and super steamy. Shelby is meeting her best friend for dinner and a hot guy buys her a drink while she waits for Diane. Minutes later, Shelby’s disgusted to learn he’s Diane’s boyfriend. Shelby immediately dislikes the man and wants nothing to do with him but he begs her to take him on as a design client. Shelby doesn’t want the job, but the more they talk, the more intrigued she is by Zeke. She’s never connected like this or wanted anyone so bad, but he’s dating her very best friend so he’s beyond forbidden.
What Shelby doesn’t know is Zeke has been trying to break it off with Diane for weeks because he knows it’s not going anywhere, he just can’t get ahold of her to have the necessary conversation. Will they give in to temptation or can they be strong for Diane’s sake? This has some angst, a touch of suspense and a whole lot of heat. Shelby and Zeke clicked from their first meeting so I couldn’t wait to see where this was going. I only wish it were longer.

This is my first Olivia Monroe story and oh lawdy I’m fanning myself!! Shelby and Zeke were so seriously haaaawt!! Gotta love a dirty talkin’ hero… and a heroine who is game for all the naughty stuff…. Yes please!! Yeah, these two singed my kindle!!
Two reasons why this story isn’t a 5 star for me. 1. Okay, I say “cheating-ish” coz in my definition they kinda were since Zeke did not officially break things off with Diane (Shelby’s best friend). Even though things did turn out for the best, that little bit put a little wrench in the story for me. 2. I need both of the main characters to say “I love you” to each other in my romances. I know, I know… but that’s so important to me to activate the feels.
With that being said, I really did like Zeke and Shelby. I was totally invested in their road to HEA and I was cheering for them every step of the way.
I’m also ready to one click a bunch of Olivia Monroe’s titles. I’m glad I “discovered” her this year and can’t wait to read MORE!!

This is a first listen for me in the Naughty Neighbors series by Monroe. A short, erotic listen with great narration. Main characters are Shelby and Zeke. I loved that Zeke was open with his desires and wants and Shelby made an effort to do the right thing in resisting his charms but there instant attraction was not to be denied. My only problem was the cheating aspect and I guess I should have known that would have been a major issue in read/listen but for whatever reason I just didn't. So - taking that out of my review equation I thought this was an overall really well developed storyline and had good flow thru out. I loved the story to steamy ratio and am looking forward to more listens/reads (maybe without the cheating aspect).

Very naughty neighbors! Shelby (h) meets Zeke (H) and it’s instalust for the two, and while she wouldn’t have any problem getting to know her new neighbor better, she can’t do so since he's her best friend's boyfriend. But the more they're around one another, the more things heat up with some very hot, intense, sexy action that's everything but the actual act until they do. They might have strong feelings and chemistry with one another, but Shelby can't let their relationship continue. But all's well that ends well and Zeke and Shelby get their HEA. This was an extremely high heat novella that just kept bringing more and more over the top hot and steamy sexy goodness! That massage and sex toys...

Zeke only stayed with Diana because of her friend and once he knew he wanted Shelby for keeps he started trying to get Diane to see him so he could end things. Will things work out between Zeke and Shelby? What will her friend think about them being together?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

If you want a quick romance with minimal character development and lots of steamy scenes then this book is for you! With such a short book I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. Luckily I feel like it didn’t need much. The story had enough build to keep me entertained and hooked for a day. The book was written well enough that I didn’t feel like I was missing anything or it was unfinished. This gets closer to a 4.5 for me due to lack of character development but that’s it. I guess thinking about it now, it didn’t really need it so I’m stuck between 4.5 and 5 stars. I am curious to see how the others go.

Steamy Novella, guaranteed HEA
This was a quick, steamy novella. This one was my second favorite book in the Naughty Neighbors series. It is an example of the Cheating Trope done well. From the beginning, we know where both characters stand. It was cheating, but not really, since Zeke was already planning on breaking things off with Diane. This was the longest slow burn I’ve seen in a novella. When these two finally gave in to their attraction to each other, the spicy scenes were off the charts.

My first read for this author/series and all I can say is, Wow!!! This was a great quick read. The spice was nicely mixed in with an nice story line. I know a lot of people are not a huge fan of the cheating aspect. But I knew that Diane was cheating on Zeke almost immediately so it wasn’t so bad when Shelby and Zeke finally gave in to their desires to be with each other. And that Shelby felt remorse right after. I just feel like these things made it an easier pill to swallow. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

WoW! That was a hot and steamy read! Shelby and Zeke find themselves in an unusual predicament and though they try and fight it, sometimes giving up the fight is inevitable. The storyline was pretty good even with some of the plot being predictable. The book had almost all the emotions involved, drama, humor, sexy times and romance. This was a first time read from this author for me, and I would read more of her work if they are like this!

I usually don't even bother trying to start a book or anything that has cheating related contents mentioned cause honestly that doesn't scream romantic.... Glad I gave this one a try, I love the author & she hasn't disappointed me yet so I figured wtf . I actually enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing, its relatable & I recommend it. Give it a & you won't be disappointed, its a short story but a great read

I loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a deal breaker for me. Shelby was a wonderful character and I really liked her. I really enjoyed this story, I read it in one sitting. 5 stars.

Talk about a naughty neighbor. Dam Zeke and Shelby hit it off with amazing chemistry. But her best friend is in the way or is she..... Their attraction for each other is smoking hot. Nothing is going to stop them. I love love this insta-love story. Definitely a must read.

Zeke the boyfriend, Diane the girlfriend and Shelby her best friend who lives the hall from Zeke. Loved the story, very fast paced and had some high points ... the sex was breathy.
