Wicked Hot Doctor was an okay read for me.
Steven is an ER doctor that hasn’t really ever given much time or thought to relationships. Whitney is a lawyer with a plan and doesn’t want to give any time or thought to relationships. But of course they meet and it is sparks and fireworks right from the get go. These two have an intensely steamy relationship, and their chemistry is off the charts.
Whitney is a problem for me. She constantly says that she needs to “stay in her own lane” and that Steven is too good for her. She doesn’t believe she should have anything too good in her life because something bad will happen to balance is out back to neutral, so why bother having or wanting anything good for yourself? It was actually a big downer when reading her parts of the story. Steven cared for her so much, but a lot of the time it seemed like he had to walk on eggshells around her because he couldn’t “push her too hard” or she’d get scared and run. What?!! This hot doctor is actively pursuing you and telling you how much he wants you and wants to take care of you and you’re going to be a negative Nancy the whole time?! I felt like Steven was really working hard for a relationship that Whitney didn’t even really want.
I enjoyed the supporting characters in this book and would really like to see where their stories go.

This was very insta lust
Steve is a doctor and Whitney is a lawyer. Steven is having dinner with a lawyer friend and Whitney is at the next table. He likes her instantly.
Likes her too much. 12% in and he is saying she is the one. All that happens in the first 20% of this book is them making out. Literally nothing else happens.
She hates her job but she is been a martyr and just doing it cos they paid for her to go to school to become a lawyer. She thinks leaving for something better is a betrayal.
She is too much man!! She's so annoying all her inner monologues are 'I'm not good enough for him' 'he is out of my league'. Then she gets offered a great job and she thinks she cant take it cos 'the universe doesn't let you have 2 nice things at once' So Steven will leave her . Get a grip woman. Her back and forth over weather she should be with him is exhausting but for some reason Steve loves her.
She gets preggers which isn't a spoiler we know all this from the last book and when she looses the baby she dumps him. He lost a baby too but she just tells him to leave her hospital room and doesn't speak to him again. She says its his fault for making her believe she could have anything. I was done with her by then. I know she was grieving but she was just awful!
Then she just changes her mind and he forgives her. I didn't like it. He didn't even tell her how much she hurt him.
Then it ended without a real epilogue. More a happy for a now.
I cant remember if the last book was written in 3rd person but I was surprised this was. This story was just kinda bland. Steven saved it

This is the second book in the new series set in Boston. Dr. Steven Erickson is the head of Boston General ER. We first met him as Ava's older brother in the San Diego Scene series. Well, a chance meeting has him meeting Whitney Hayes an attorney whose life has been far from fairy tale. The attraction is instant but Whitney is afraid to hope for more as life is always dealing her a bad hand. This courtship had its high and lows, so have the tissues ready. Steven is the boyfriend that any women would want and he was very constant and dream worthy. He continues to fight for them even when old hurts from his past appear. This was a book that I could not put down. Ms. Summers has eluded who the next couples might be and I cannot wait.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a love story between Steven and Whitney. He is so focused on his career at the hospital, that he forgets all about a ticket. He never expected that fixing the mistake would lead him to the woman of his dreams. Whitney stays on a path that focuses on her career and future. She does not need anything to change that. This doctor may have just what she needs to want to have more. They both have their baggage and careers. Whitney and Steven will have to decide to trust their hearts if they want a future together. I liked the characters and their story. Steven was a really great guy and perfect for her. She has a little more to get past, but he is determined enough for them both.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Steven and Whitney’s journey. Steven is the head of Boston General ER department, and he has no time for relationships, and when he goes to pay a forgotten ticket, me meets Whitney an attorney. Steven falls instantly in love with Whitney, but she does not do relationships either. These two are completely focused of their careers, but Steven is determined to convince her to change her mind and give them a chance, and they both have their baggage, but they compliment each other perfectly. This is a well written story which has emotions, intrigue, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Meh. Super boring and the heroine was tstl. I mean really stupid. She was a Harvard law grad, suma cum laude but the biggest moron I’ve ever ever read. Like ever, ever. She thought the universe didn’t want her to be happy....the universe....so she wouldn’t be in a relationship, change her job or have kids because the universe didn’t want her to be happy....the universe. Like THE universe, the huge freaking universe, like with all the galaxies and stars and space etc, THAT universe, gave a shit about some dumb woman in Boston and wether she should be paid well as a lawyer or get married or not.

Also this book was listed as the second in the series, it is actually the first. If you read this series (which I don’t recommend you do, btw) read this book first. If you read it in the order that kindle told me to, that being this one second, your experience will be spoiled as you will know all the unfortunate events before you read them. Though again, I don’t recommend either book.

Steven and Whitney 's Story!
So well written, beautiful, from Whitney with doubts in her life and Steven coming into her life and she gets hopeful and comfortable to the point where she quits her job for a better one ,fines out she pregnant after just two weeks before she tells Steve that she doesn't want kids because doesn't feel like v she would be c a good mother but she changes her mind only to loose the baby and she closes Steve out and wants nothing to do with him and tells him that she needs time away from him.So time goes by and listens to her girlfriend and really start to live again and gives Steven a chance again which is his favor and he asks Whitney to marry him and she says yes!

Wicked Hot Doctor by Tess Summers is the hugely romantic story of Steven and Whitney. He’s a doctor and she’s a attorney. They meet through his friend….and there is an immediate attraction. Neither wants anything serious right now…but, things are about to change!!
Enjoyable, light read that kept my attention. The characters were wonderfully developed and the story line was good!!! Nice read!!!

Dr. McDreamy and McSteamy combined!
This story serves up a heaping dose and some next level emotion. I liked how Steven figured Whitney would want a relationship after a weekend with him but Whitney holds to keeping things causal until he slowly but surely wins her heart. The pacing of this story felt very natural and the emotional responses of the characters felt authentic. Tess Summer has created a great new crew of friends and connected characters - I’m excited to keep reading in this series.

Love Struck
Carefree single life. No worries except for what to do the next time I’m not working. If being a workaholic isn’t a problem then life is great until that special someone walks into the room. I loved the connection between these two. Neither were really looking for anything but sometimes everything you didn't know you wanted lands right in your lap. Steven and Whitney think they have no time for any relationship. Both have demanding jobs but when Steven sees Whitney, he can't let her go. When the past shows up, it will either break them apart or drawn them closer. Do you wanna know? Well, you'll just have to get the book to find out!

a book everyone should read
I haven’t read a book like this in a very long time. It had everything a book should have but it was a real book not a fairytale book. It wasn’t a smooth sailing book from the beginning but it was so honest an emotional make sure you have tissues ready. The ending was fantastic and I give this book more then 5 stars and I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read Hope and Evan’s book soon.

This is a beautiful love story. Doctor Steven is a smart, kind, handsome man. He's happy with his busy successful life until he meets a beautiful young Attorney. Whitney is focused on her life plan. Growing up her life was pretty horrible so now she is fearful of any relationship. It's slow going for Steven to show Whitney how to live in a world with love but their growing relationship is sweet to read. Linda

This is the second book in this series and I definitely recommend you read it. The story was real and emotional with things to overcome. It wasn't just a boy meets girl and everything's perfect their story had depth to it you really invest in them.

Sweet 🥰, sexy and entertaining
I loved the female leader character cause she's grounded, raw, relatable and beautiful and strong and successful. The male leading character is super sexy, protective and he cherishes her in so many ways. Lots of dirty bits plus the storyline is really powerful and raw.

Sexy and sweet
This book is entertaining. Steven is a sexy heartthrob of a doctor. He was blown away when he met Whitney who is a strong and intelligent lawyer. They have intense chemistry that just burns up the pages. Their characters are very easy to relate to making the story even better.

Doctor and lawyer meet; immediate attraction; doctor all in and ready to move into a relationship; reluctant lawyer has never had anyone truly love or support her, starting with her addicted parents and foster care. Delightful funny, sad, moving love story with the help of Lola and Ralph, their dogs! Enjoy!

ok read
Ahhh, I have never been frustrated reading a book till this one. I no people always think this is going well where the but, but come on Whitney this went way over the top. The other characters were interesting looking forward to reading James story. Sorry but this books 3⭐️ from me

An author new to me becomes a favorite!!
Tess Summers was an author I had never found before, but taking a chance on a discounted book - I am SOO VERY GLAD that I did!!! This story of Steven and Whitney was absolutely amazing. I loved everything about their journey. Especially the epilogue.

This book is HOT! Steven and Whitney are a sexy power couple. Steven is a successful charming doctor who falls head over heals for a beautiful strong kickass lawyer who learns she can be worthy of a happily ever after. From the moment they meet it is pure hotness.

Awesome. I loved the back and forth Whitney seems to have with herself and her past. It shows how things can be overcome with the right person. I enjoyed the dogs so very much. I am a very big animal lover and have two of my own. They are great companionship. Great read. Loved it.

Poor writing
I enjoyed the story, but it’s written in 3rd person point of view. This is a strange POV to read a romance novel in. This book also have way to many grammar issues. The wrong characters name was used multiple times. Could use a proof reader big time
