One of those books, a boon to family historians, written by dedicated local enthusiasts. Michael Stone has put Chippenham on the map by his efforts in the field of local history. This volume, professionally produced and illustrated, consists of captioned photographs of what is a typical English market town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
