Eye exercises have been touted as a "natural" treatment for a variety of vision issues, including poor eyesight, for several decades now. There is a very limited amount of reputable scientific research that suggests eye exercises can improve one's vision. On the other hand, physical activity can assist alleviate eye strain and make your eyes feel more comfortable. If you suffer from a common eye condition such as myopia (also known as near-sightedness), hyperopia (also known as far-sightedness), or astigmatism, it is unlikely that eye exercises will be beneficial to you. People who suffer from the most prevalent eye illnesses, such as age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma, won't see much of an improvement in their vision from eye workouts. Even though eye exercises definitely won't help you see better, they can make your eyes feel more comfortable, which is especially beneficial if you find that your eyes become irritated at work. People who spend their days in front of computers frequently experience symptoms of a syndrome known as "digital eye strain."
