Okay, I have a weak spot for reading about evil leaders. This book was a quick read of facts. It gave me mix of emotions and they are mostly depressing and angry. Wow, what a harsh and tough life he had!

Stalin was responsible for the deaths of 20 million people. TWENTY MILLION!! I can't even comprehend how horrible he was. This book, written for young readers, was perfect for getting an overview of his life and who he was. Very sobering that such evil can exist.

the wicked histories are quick and fun - the a & e biographies have a little more meat to them. these seem more grown up for research and i was able to pick up a lot of quick info on stalin.
