* Bound by Love by Bella Andre

The first novella centers around Elizabeth the Queen of a European country who is the sole ruler and judgement for her subjects. Since childhood she has been taught to keep a tight rein on her emotions and guard her heart from any entanglements as well.
Gavin Ross is a man who appears in her court one day to be judged on the count of tax evasion, he makes the mistake of insulting Elizabeth for which crime she decrees he be locked in the stockades for 8 hours.

During the time he is in her presence she is inexplicably drawn to Gavin, having never felt true feelings for a man before Elizabeth does not know what to make of them.

During the course of this story these two strong willed people learn that letting go and allowing ones heart to dictate ones actions can lead to a long lasting loving relationship neither one expected.

The steam coming off the pages of this novella is hotter than that of an indoor sauna and the delicious ending that results in an unlikely pairing is well worth turning the pages for...
Nice fast little erotic romance to keep one occupied on a summer night!

* Venice Vampyr #2 – Final Affair by Tina Folsom

In this second tale all things sensual and dark come true for Viola, the young woman whose very presence has bewildered Dante for the first time in his life as a Vampire.
I really liked the way the relationship between Viola and Dante came about, it was funny and at the same time very serious as well. I loved the way it developed through the story, the vampire who only wanted to assuage his ego finds himself instead falling deeper and deeper into Viola's allure and she into his!

I enjoyed this short look into the series penned by the author, have the first book on my Kindle and really need to get to it to find out the beginnings of the story of Raphael and Isabella, Dante's brother and sister-in-law.

There was of course a lot of erotic moments between Dante and Viola, their love affair though and the way the final HEA brought the story to a close was tender and playful and oh so sweet to enjoy!

Both of these stories will appeal to anyone who loves to sit down and just be entertained with a fast hot read, especially those who unlike me are fans of the authors work before reading these short stories!

This was my first Bella Andre book and I was pleasantly surprised. Wished it was a little longer though. I've since read others and have several on my "want to read list".

I hate reading anthologies as it is difficult to rate the stories as one book. I may hate one of the stories and love the other. That's why I normally just mark them individually, if they are listed that way. I didn't check in this case so I will summarize below.

---------------------------------------------------------

Bound By Love by Laura Andre, 2 stars at most

Totally not my kind of story. I tried to get into it but it simply never worked for me. The 2 stars are generous.

---------------------------------------------------------

Venice Vampyr #2 by Tina Folsom, easily 5 stars

I totally loved this story. It is very rare for me to give ANY story or book 5 stars. I see it is #2 so I'm assuming there is a #1 about Dante's brother? I will have to find it soon. I never jump in the middle of a series. Also, I got over the "Vampire" craze awhile back, other than J.R. Ward stuff so I was iffy about reading yet another silly story written about vampires.

Wow........... totally surprised and SO glad I read this. I had never read anything by this author and I can honestly say that I was totally amazed at the way she put so much into only a few pages. I loved Dante, Viola and the other cast of characters. I love how the story played out completely. I don't believe I have any complaints about this story at all. You sympathize with Viola and Dante has the "Wow!" factor (I totally have this thing for men with black hair........)

I can't wait to search out all that I can find by Tina Folsom. Now that I have read a 'vampire' story that I enjoyed again, I will see what else she has to offer.

---------------------------------------------------------------

There are several pages of excerpts, etc. from other stories at the end of the book. I did not bother to read them. It is rare for me to read any type of excerpt from a book before I read the actual book.

two short novella b 2 different authors--if it hadn't bee free, i would never have read this.
the first book, BOUND BY LOVE by bella andre, has an imperious queen with kinky tastes in sex. i didn't find her very queen-like at all, and the story just wasn't long enough to develop any plot or character enough to satisfy.
the second story,VENICE VAMPYR #2: FINAL AFFAIR, by tina folsom, was even worse. i despise stories that are set in the past, pretending to be historical, but employing modern-day slang and mores. it just seems to be lazy writing to me.

I got this book just because I'm a huge fan of Tina Folsom's Scanguards series and also I enjoyed Bella Andre's other free book called Ecstasy. These are 2 short stories that give you a taste of their writing style. I love how these two authors consistently offer free books for their readers. The Venice Vampyre short story Tina Folsom contributed to this anthology has convinced me to try reading that series next!

This was the first of many books that tricked me. I thought it was chick lit and it was erotica!

I enjoyed the short stories & teasers from theses authors. These stories did not disappoint. Actually purchased a book from each other because of the teasers.
