Gathering Peace is the story of forty-year-old Sam, who quits his job, buys a 36 ft Airstream trailer, sells his house and puts his wife, three children, and a toy poodle into the trailer and sets off across the country in search of a new career idea.
Frustration ensues for Sam because of the crowded campgrounds and constant distraction from researching his plan.
Because he is constantly hollering "All I want is peace and quiet," Joey goes on a search for the meaning of peace so that she can give it to him for his birthday. She interviews ten people in the different campgrounds, each of them having
intriguing and insightful ideas. What Joey comes up with as a gift makes for a fascinating and unexpected surprise.
