This is not a book about how to fly a helicopter, but goes more deeply into the science of helicopter flight. If you're not snowed by vector diagrams, you'll get a lot of additional insight into just what the control inputs do and how the forces that control the aircraft are generated. For the student of helicopter flying who wants to go a step beyond the basics, this is a good book; however, I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is studying to obtain a helicopter rating.

The style is just about as inaccessible as it gets, but this is still a thoroughgoing and educational volume.
