Although this story did have a few problems with spelling it didn't effect the content at all. This story was a true depiction of how some feel once they have lost a loved one are begrudging trying to move on due to the fear, pain & guilt. Laurie & Cooper meet by chance while Laurie is baby-sitting for the first time. Thinking it would be nice to stop at Niagara Falls for a break, since her God-daughter was already having a melt down from dropping mom at the airport. No sooner does she get out of the car when the baby tosses the keys over the falls. Here, is where the real fun begins, because sees it happen & the thoughts he has...
I enjoyed this book I would recommend.

This is a sweet romantic story, about love, loss and courage to love again. I really enjoyed reading this story. When you lose someone it takes time and courage and an unexpected woman to awaken your heart to want to try again.
Laurie is babysitting her Goddaughter and takes her to Niagara Falls for some fresh air after dropping off mom at the airport. Morgan is crying her eyes out missing her mom. Laurie mistakenly gives Morgan the car keys to try to distract her. Morgan throws the keys at the Falls. A stranger comes to the rescue. Cooper might be a stranger to Laurie but he is a long time friend to Morgan’s parents. Cooper steps in to give them a ride home. What will happen between Laurie and Cooper? Will Cooper open up about his past? Will Laurie get her heart hurt again?

Almost Married

He married not almost. He had difficulty letting go or allowing himself to love again. I've been divorced for 15 years and I have never dated. My ex married within 3 months of our divorce. He said if anything happened to our marriage he would marry again and I said I wouldn't be so anxious. She had never been married, the one my ex married and the woman in love with the guy who'd lost his wife. Life is strange like that.

It was a cute read. A little repetitious and there didn't seem to be a lot of connection between the 2 characters but it was a cute read.

I actually quite enjoyed this novel - it was a standard modern romance with sturdy characters (I know that doesn't sound romantic) and a moderately developed plot.

I just felt that there wasn't any real obstacles beyond the characters own desperation for/against having a family. I wanted something a bit more plotty than this novel offered - yes plotty is a word. Something to sink my teeth into while the characters battled with inner demons in the meantime. The apple yard and a teething baby didn't quit give enough tension...

Oh and just to mention the total sizzly chemistry between our leading couple, and yet we didn't get any action. It was like... tea without sugar.. cake without icing... Romance novels without steamy passionate sex!

Very cute book! Only the second I've read by this author. I love her stories, and I would have read this one immediately after reading the first one, if it wasn't for the frustration. She builds up all of this sexual tension, and then skips right over it! I mean, she SKIPS it entirely! She's so good at the buildup, you just don't expect it. I still recommend this book, though. I finished it happy, if not entirely satisfied. ;)

Laurie finds herself a new tempted desire to experiment on a new romance with mutual chemistry. Although, Mr. Buckingham isn't interested in finding a new relationship outside of work. Past grieving brings Cooper Buckingham to hatred commitment with women and babies. But Laurie still hasn't learned her lesson from her last affair with a married man. So will Laurie openly express her emotions toward Cooper and will Cooper resist?

Short little love story. Kind of annoying with repeating over and over about wanting a baby, not the right man, not repeating same mistakes, blah blah blah. And the sexual tension that never gets resolved is definitely annoying. The build up is great, but really just get it over with all ready!

It was a easy read. There are a couple of good laughs, in my opinion, involving the main character who is clumsy or something like that - it's cute (not overdone). I am personally not all about "I must get married and have children" so that made this book less enjoyable for me since that is the main character's obsession - but if that is your thing, you'd like this one.

uhhh.... this book was a waste of time, the story line was weak, the characters were annoying, and it was super predictable, thank god it was only 183 pages long....

The only thing I liked about this book was the baby. Anything else about the book was boring. Even though this book was free its not worth reading LONELY MILLIONAIRE was much better than this one.
