I found Building a Second Brain to be a very practical and useful read. It helped me understand how to manage information in a better way without feeling overwhelmed.
The core idea is simple — our brain is meant to think, not to store everything. So, we should create a digital system (a "second brain") to save important notes, ideas, and learnings that we can use later.

Tiago introduces a method called CODE:
Capture what inspires or helps me.
Organize it using the PARA system – Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archives.
Distill the main points so I don’t overload my notes.
Express by using the saved ideas to write, plan, or create something.

This book made me realize that taking notes isn’t just about collecting — it’s about doing something with what I learn. Since applying this system, I feel more clear, creative, and in control of my ideas.

It’s a great book if you deal with a lot of content or just want to be more organized and productive. Some parts felt a bit repetitive, but overall, it gave me a strong foundation for building my own personal knowledge system.

Review of How to Build a Second Brain

How to Build a Second Brain by Tiago Forte is a transformative guide for anyone looking to streamline their life and boost their productivity. The book’s actionable strategies for organizing information and tasks are not only practical but also surprisingly versatile.

I particularly appreciated how the principles outlined in the book extended beyond just digital organization. Inspired by Forte’s methods, I reorganized my art room and office at work, and the results have been amazing. The systems suggested in the book made it easy to create a structured, clutter-free environment that has improved my focus and efficiency.

The biggest win? Applying these concepts to my computer organization has left me feeling supercharged and in control of my workflow. Forte’s advice is simple yet profound, making it accessible for anyone, regardless of their starting point. If you’re looking for a way to declutter your mind, workspace, or life, this book is an absolute game-changer!

Forte builds a great case for moving your data / content into a digital format. But it is not a ground-breaking concept. In fact, Forte invokes GTD processes and only adds two ideas for his audience: PARA and CORE. Para is the more differentiated Project, Area, Resource, and Archive. PARA does not work with most BUJO (paper/pen) systems unless a retrospective is completed, and ideas carried forward and continuously reviewed. In this case Digital is a clearly better method - where search can unearth notes faster and more accurately. Anyone that aggressively manages their email in box will find similarities to PARA. The second concept CORE Capture, Organize, Distill, Express - feels like the very first exercise of David Allen's Getting Things Done. Overall, a fast and easy rea, but not much "new".

I loved the book and the concepts that were presented, however, I would have liked a less worldly style of delivering them.

This book seems to be a fake AI cover of the real book: Tiago Forte’s “Building a Second Brain” which all of these reviews mistook for this book
