Okay, this book was cute. And I mean cute in the way where something was not great, but also not a complete waste your time. The older I get the harder it is for me to read books where the characters are 15 and 16. Holly and Paul just fell into what I consider the stereotype for their age. However, with that being said, I think if I had read this when I was younger, I would have really enjoyed it because the characters are going through many of the same things I was going through at that age. A comforting fact about this book is that it doesn’t have the hot button topics in it that we worry about kids reading when we consider them too young. Nonetheless, it's still engaging to a younger reader. I did like the idea of it being at a country club concession stand; the close quarters made the storyline progress quicker. This is definitely a pool book for me--as in when I’m in the water and a kid does a cannonball and gets the cover a little wet, I’m not going to lose my mind.

Dear Ms.Davis:
I really like your story. I wonder how you got your idea for the story? The idea of the story reminds me of a big event happening to all students in my middle school. Or. more like evenyone's habit. The habit is that when a girl fights with a boy, that means that they are inlove. There's a phrase that was say,"Girls hit boys, or the other way around, it means she/he likes him/her. Hwne girls argue with boys, that means they are in love." Some thing like that. So when a girl fights with a boy, people always said that the looks like husband and wife. ANd I was once teased, too, just because I really dislike a boy, and I keep saying not that nice things to him and people said that me and him whatever whatever...So that was kind of similar to your story, and to what happened to your characters. And also, when people said things like that, you either got really annoyed and hated the other guy or girl like me, or you fell in love with them like in the story. And some people still said something like tat now in my middle school. Hope you write and publish more and more books.
Sincerely, MAndy ZHao

What am I do to with myself?

I have read this book COUNTLESS of times. Just like the book (He's with me) it is cheesy, humorous, romatic.

And again, the main character and the dude hate each other. and well..they end up...romantically involved.

Anyways, even though this is for teenagers, anyone can pretty much read it. It is fun to read. You don't get bored. You just want to keep reading!!!

Good for a summer day on the beach..and just chill.

and the way their relationship builds on is so comical and cute. I think everyone went through that face where they didn't get along with a dude and end up liking him.

I am telling you, this book is AWESOME

Should be considered a YA book. It was really a good book. Story was good. Teenagers can read it it does not have dirty words nor sex scenes in it either.
Holly and her best friend Ainslee spend their summer working at a local country club hoping to meet some cute guys. Hot guys and maybe a summer fling sounds like fun.

I paid 95 cents for this book and I’m glad that’s it. Any more and it probably wouldn’t of been worth it. It’s a cute, short romance. But not a lot of detail, character development or romance. So I guess why bother taking the time to read this book when you could spend that time reading something better.

Maybe if it wasn’t meant for a pocket book then the author could of use more creative libraries to make the plot, and all-round the book better.

It's summer time for Holly and she is finally working at the local Country Club with her best friend, Ainslee. And Holly knows what that means: Country Club = new people = boys. Even though the Club may be a little ancient, Holly just can't wait to work. And meet those cute boys. Luckily for Holly, she gets to meet a hot guy a little earlier than she expected, at the Welcome to the Club party. The drawback is that hot guy, Paul, is sort of a jerk. The kind of jerk that knocks you into the pool and doesn't say he's sorry.

But Holly isn't worrying since that was a one-time thing, and only a little embarrassing, and there are plenty of guys out there. Yet things just get worse when Holly's job at the Club's grill forces her to partner up with Paul, of all people. And Paul just goes from jerk to know-it-all, having already worked at the grill and always correcting Holly on everything she does.

If only Paul wasn't such a conceited jerk slash huge soccer star that had to work beside Holly and look extremely cute, she would be able to get over him and get him out of her head. The only thing left to do is just find someone, but why is it that when Ainslee sets her eyes on Paul, Holly doesn't feel so well?

But what Holly doesn't know is that this summer, the burgers are not the only thing that will be sizzling at the grill.

The third book in the I HEART BIKINIS series, Caitlyn Davis cooks up one steamy story in WHAT'S HOT. The interactions between Holly and Paul are hilarious and the ending leaves you with a satisfied feeling - but still wanting more.

Holly and her best friend, Ainslee, are going to spend their summer working at the Ridgemont Country Club. Ainslee tells Holly that both of them need to flirt. Ainslee convinces Holly to flirt with a group of guys, but it Holly ends up falling into a pool to avoid being hit with a shuffleboard stick. One of the guys makes a rude comment leaving Holly embarassed. When she starts working at the food grill, she realizes she is working with the same guy, Paul. He is constantly telling her how to do her job, but Holly ends up having feelings for him. Will he completely reject her or is his constant nagging hiding something more?

I thought this was a cute, quick read. I've already read the book by Tamara Summers and can't wait to read Island Summer.

Young adult romances seem to always have a swoon worthy, beautiful, boy who says all the right things and has all the moves to make girls just “awwww” all over him. Well…this book is not one of those tales. :D

Paul and Holly have this adorable, yet tense flirt-fight chemistry going on. Paul is adorable, but he can say some rude comments at times. Just when you think he is the rudest boy ever though, you turn the page to find him doing the cutest thing or showing such concern for Holly. UGH!! Boys will drive you crazy in fiction and life!

This was a very quick, simple, sweet book about a boy and a girl trying to tell each other how they feel. And we all know how well that goes. :D

this is a book that is basically about love, but in a whole different direction. holly is a normal girl that is working in a local country club during the summer with her friend. her friend and her doesn't seem to be aiming to do good at work, but instead finding cute guys instead. but holly doesn't notice the right guy that is right for her is right next to her working everyday. holly keep on having fights with him and that is covering their love that is hidden with in their hearts. the ending is pretty well written too. the book is pretty satisfying if you are looking for something that is going to make you go all emotional, this could be the right book for you. =]

I really like this book! Its remind me of some movie i saw. This book show how this girl and guy keep arguing and eventually ended up together! I like these kind of story because its funny how the girl and the guy hate each other at first and then fall in love. They will first argue, then slowly realize that they love each other. I think these kind of relationship happen in real life too! Overall this book is amazing. I think some couple started off arguing with each other. I think they're the one that love each other the most. They will care for each other.

gosh.what to say about this?? i don't even know where to start.
well,how about here-
the main character was completely unlikeable.she was so uptight and took everything wayy to seriously.
caitlyn davis did not make ONE likeable character in this book.
everyone had some weird quirk about them that made it impossible to like them.
the things in the book were boring and at multiple times throughout i found myself thinking 'why am i reading this?!'
i don't know what it's still doing on my shelf.you know,i think i'm going to go take it down right now..

Cute, funny, and a quick read. :)

Excerpt:

"We should have worn Hawaiian shirts or something. That reminds me --- I have your shirt. Remind me to give it to you before we leave tonight."
"Give my shirt to me before we leave," Paul said. "There, I just reminded you." When Holly frowned at him, he said, "You said to remind you. You didn’t say when."
"Okay, could you not be so obnoxious when the heat is, like, a thousand degrees in here?" Holly stood at the grill, cooking four hot dogs and one veggie burger.

This book was really cute. It was easy to read and I flew through it. However, the characters weren't very developed and one character in particular (see very end of review for character's name, slight spoiler) had a lot of potential but wasn't given the chance to reach it. I also felt like the story spent too much time leading up to the romance and not enough time giving us cute scenes for the romance to blossom. It was an enjoyable read all the same though.

Slight Spoiler: That character was Ross.

This book was really cute and she was just 16 to find someone like Paul. It was also a nice storyline that they hate each other at first but then realize they love each other. I loved the part where they were at the party and ... Swim much and him grabbing hold of her hand in th rain.... It was funny when he tells her that he likes her, he was being careful of what to say real cool and fun especially the summer job.

Oh my god this book was so cute. I loved the ending when Paul and Holly finally got together. I was waiting for this part in the whole book. It would have been better if they used more details to explain there relationship instead of just ending there. I really like the characters and how the author made all the characters so likeable. I recommend this book to everyone again.

Quick, light-hearted, fun and bubbly. This is the type of book where you just want a fast and enjoyable read about some dramatic teenage romance angst. It shouldn't be taken into serious consideration and shouldn't be viewed through a critical eye. Instead, keep an open mind when reading, relax and have fun!

This is a cute, fun summer book although the plot is dull and the actual story takes a long time to get going. This isn't a book I would recommend even though it does point out a lot about friendship!

WOW! LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

This book was a great read, though it was a bit short! I have never read a book where I LOVED every single character in it...it was truly a great read. I would have liked this book a bit more if it was a longer novel but overall, it is a book worth reading!
