This book was full of great information about Goddess Brigid. My only wish is that I would have read the physical copy rather than listened to the audiobook. I thought the narrator sounded like AI and was not able to feel connected like I have with other audiobooks.
Brigid is full of interesting facts about the Celtic Irish and Scottish heritage. It provides easy instructions on performing rituals and setting up altars to pay your respects to the deities of that era. It is a good read for anyone looking to return to their heritage.
Interesting information on Brigid and St Brigid. The combination of Celtic tradition and Christian tradition is interesting. They did include voodoo tradition as well. Overall a good and informative read.
I really enjoyed this book! It was informative and refreshingly unbiased, which can be hard to find in books about Brigid, given her many different aspects. I loved that it explored not only her Celtic folklore but also her transformation into Saint Brigid and how Christianity integrated her into its traditions. I even discovered her connections in Haitian culture, which was new to me. The book also offered insightful ways to celebrate Imbolc and work with Brigid. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking to learn about Brigid, regardless of their beliefs.
Some books in this collection are better than others. Overall, the collection consistently over promises and under delivers. This final book about Brigid is probably the most interesting and best written - though unnecessarily repetitive. There is a large and interesting bibliography at the end, though none of the text contains citations to the works in the bibliography so it is difficult to know which bibliographic entries go with which section of text.
