I'm not 100% about the title on goodreads for this book as everything lines up except the inclusion of the state name. But, I'm 99% sure this is the right book to put this review on for what I just read.
I like this book. It is a thorough survey(I know that's a little bit of a contradiction) of objections to believing in the gospel. I would recommend this for anybody to read whether you are a believer or not.
As a christian myself, I like books that walk through the core tenants of the faith. It's good to look at "the why" one believes what they do and where that belief comes from and what it is rooted in/on.
Why I only gave it 3 stars is merely on a couple points.
I do have an objection to one of the theological points made in relation to, what appears to be, once saved always saved. I disagree and won't give my points to why here but, even with that in mind, I'd still say you can gain a lot of valuable insight from this book.
My second issue has to do with the excessive use of KJV for the scriptures sighted. It's definitely 99% of the scriptures written out in this book and there are a lot of scriptures inserted for reference throughout the many points being made. I'm glad that there are many scriptures included as I believe the bible is the source of truth. But, KJV is not helpful in actually understanding the scriptures. I could elaborate but this isn't the place for a treatise. This is a book review.
