An engaging story of marine archaeology and slavery. The book covers one slave ship - The Henrietta Marie - from England to West Africa to the Caribbean and then to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico off Key West. The comprehensive nature of the story of this single vessel to illustrate the entirety of the slave trade would be useful as an extension read for KS3.
