4.0/5.0 Mind Slide is a standalone novel by Glenn Bullion. Being the third novel in a row I've read from him there are definite patterns found throughout his stories. This one, like the others, has a strong romance focus as we follow Mason as he tries to go about his life with a secret power only a few know about. I enjoyed the character interaction between the main and supporting cast and found myself trapped in this plot to be honest. I wouldn't say it is any more special than any other urban fantasy novel but I do have a soft spot for standalone novels that have a good solid beginning, middle, and end. Overall I do not regret devoting my time to this whatsoever.

I really enjoy this authors work. This is one of his early books as all the elements that I love are there but the story isn't as fleshed out as his later books. The story follows the Mason who got struck by lightening when he was five years old with his family. They passed away but Mason ended up being able to astral project which he named mind slide. The government finds out and puts him into a secret lab to study him until he is 18 years old. Once he gets out he uses his skills to find missing children. There is a pretty good love story and the action picks up in the last half of the book. I love how the author always gives me a new take on the supernatural. In one book he wrote about someone who can see ghosts, in another it was a shapeshifter, and in this book it is someone that can view things outside his body. The first half of his books are always about the personal more than the powers. How the powers affect the person's development, the loneliness they feel and then meeting that one right person. The second half is when things come to a head and the powers come more into play. The only issue I have with this book is that the story wasn't as fleshed out as his later work Mason was taken and experimented on for almost 13 years? Then when he was 18 years old they just let him go? That doesn't make much sense. Either they should have gotten in trouble for what they did to Mason or he needed to escape. Just letting him go didn't make much sense. Again though, this is an early work for the author and his following stories were much better detailed.

I haven't seen anything from this author fro quite a while. I hope nothing is wrong and he continues writing, because he is very good.

Great writer!

Mason grew up in a laboratory being studied for his ability to "mind slide". After being released he makes a new life for himself but he's about to find out he didn't really know as much as he thought about what went on in the lab..

This novel is a quick and easy read, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Demonspawnby the same author. The characters are likeable if a bit bland and I think that's probably why it didn't stick with me as a really great read but this is an author with promise who'll still pick up another novel when written.

Early work - well written, excellent story

I have read most of Glen Bullion’s books here on Amazon, if not all of them now. He really writes a fantastic and entertaining story. Mind Slide has been on my wishlist for years. I now have finally got to it. While this is one of his early works it is just as well written and entertaining as any of his other books - both series and standalone. Definitely and truly write a well and entertaining story / book. I will continue to read any book he puts out. Definitely worth the price to purchase and time to read!!!

Glenn’ s books are a joy

I have read all Glenn’s books several times and my only complaint is that he hasn’t wrote more.
I enjoy both the series and the standalones.

Enjoyable, but not up to the quality of his other novels.

Characters were not as believable and the plot sometimes made suspending disbelief difficult. Still it was an enjoyable and inexpensive way to spend a few hours.
