A perfect selection for a cool winter day.

There’s a genre for everyone in this delightful and inspiring collection of short stories. The characters are engaging throughout and their emotions jump off the page, putting the reader right into their situations or journeys. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be inspired, you’ll pause and go hmmm… The endings are marvelous and so very well thought out by each author.

I live in the desert southwest where it’s warm year ‘round, and I enjoyed feeling the chill of the intense cold and like I was right there wherever the next story (and next character) took me. There’s no way I could choose just one or even a few favorites as each story resonated with me on some level.

Enchanting stories from the Seasonal Collective writers, different genres and takes on where winter can lead. My story is about how a harsh winter transforms an irresponsible young man with anger issues. I hope you will enjoy it and the eight other captivating tales.

This past December, I delved into this marvelous collection. Nine authors have explored the theme of winter, each with a unique style and story to tell. We enter nine worlds, nine times, and nine perspectives. There is history and fantasy, humour and also loss. There are moments of wonder, of courage, and of love. Each has become my favourite as I read, for each is special.

The shimmering snowflake set on a varied blue background is the perfect cover design for this special collection; understated and intricate, each snowflake is unique, like the stories of these talented authors. I highly recommend this collection, and look forward to reading the earlier collection, Autumn Paths.
