Super intro to the benefits of yoga. Great pictures and instructions. Very easy to follow along even for n00bs like me. I've taken some classes but never stuck with it, this book with its feminine focus takes all the excuses away. There are some great tips included in this book and some interesting views for practicing yoga at any age. Yea its great to look good naked but practicing yoga can help lower stress.
My only complaint is that it's too short. I was hoping for a book with all 3 sun salutations and the moon salutation. I would have really enjoyed a night time yoga routine an some talk about the importance of a routine sleep schedule but that wasn't included.
Well paced. A smooth flow of us women as we age. No one is too old to do Yoga. This book affirms my thoughts after my yoga session this morning - Practice.
This yoga book is focused on how yoga can help women gain strength and flexibility in every stage of their lives and how yoga promotes a fit lifestyle. This is a beautiful pictorial time line of yoga that includes gorgeous textured and creative photography. It takes the reader from the teens years to the senior years and offers poses, clearly and concisely described, to aid in such things as PMS and menopause, pregnancy and childbirth and how to age gracefully. This is a lovely coffee table like book. The photography is arty and captivating. It would make a beautiful gift for the yoga lover in your life.
Beautiful, well-written book, with some lovely pictures of poses for women at various stages of life. Kind of a how-to, though recommending actually taking classes and getting a professional to help.
I've read this same book a hundred different times by a hundred different authors. Nothing really original but the pictures were lovely. Real women practicing the poses rather than yoga "models."
Lovely book. I've been happy with many Skyhorse Publishing yoga books. Own on Kindle, and while the photos are hard to see on the Kindle, the print book is lovely. Letting go of this in my book purge.
I enjoyed seeing real people doing yoga rather than perky under-40s. It's uplifting and inspiring. It's one of the few "yoga for women" books I've enjoyed.
