Scarlett City #1

Craving Them

Rate this book
Kaspian Reynolds, more commonly known as Kas, is a playboy with a dark past. He's been through hell and come out the other side, but he wasn't the same. Especially without them.

Andrea Rivers, aka Andi, has scars that run deep literally and metaphorically. She's broken and everyone knows it. Her nightmares haunt her awake and asleep. Except for when she's with them.

Bryce Crowe is Andi's best friend and has been in love with her for years, but she doesn't know. He's lethal and has his own demons but she holds his heart without exception. Until him.

Three pieces of one heart find the steady pulse they crave and the only thing that can take it away is a bullet to the head.

This is an MMF polyamorous dark romance with an HEA, there are subjects/themes that may be upsetting or triggering to some readers. This includes but is not limited to violence, substance abuse, grief, and mentions of SA. There are sexually explicit scenes with MM, MF, and MMF that are consensual. Intended for mature audiences. Enjoy!

SJ Meares lives in a tiny town in Missouri with her common-law husband, their four amazing daughters, and multiple fur and feather babies. She’s a stay-at-home mom and does her best to spread CDKL5 awareness for her third daughter, who was diagnosed around the age of 2. She began her New Adult writing journey on Wattpad, taking classes at Southern New Hampshire University Online, and has since gathered the courage to self-publish. SJ writes the kind of stories she enjoys reading and hopes to share that love with like-minded others.

When she’s not writing, she can be found reading, watching anime or drama TV, particularly medical, crime and paranormal. She’s also obsessed with competitive cooking shows but wouldn’t eat half the stuff they make. A book, Mountain Dew, and a Reese’s can almost always be found within reach. If you strike up a conversation with her, be prepared for the topic of books to come up because it will happen.

Maybe a little biased ;)

I probably shouldn't rate my own book but I really loved this story. The characters and this universe pulled me in and I fell in love with them to the point that I had to share them and their story. Their emotions feel real and raw each time I read the words on the page. My heart breaks with them and smiles with them, laughs and screams.

This is the kind of book that I love to read most. Chaotic emotional roller coaster, a story of love and pain warring together while dealing with realistic darker themes. It's intense with bits of ridiculous silly moments to ease the journey.

This is the first book in the Scarlette City series which is a contemporary mafia romance with some aspects that could be triggers for some.

I love the characters! Kas, Bryce, and Andi are perfect together. Each are unique with their own flaws and demons; they are far from perfect which makes them so relatable. The story is woven with enough sex and violence to add to the story without it being just about the sex and violence. Its woven together to draw you into their world and hold you captive until the end. I hated to see the story end, and I'm glad to know this is the first in the series. I look forward to the next one.
