This book is not an exact science.
The laws of luck are not real laws; they are simply best practices.

So we should not look at them as laws of nature like gravity.

This is not an exact science.

In fact, there is some pseudoscience in the book.
For example, the author talks about manifestation in the lines of The Secret, which is absolute nonsense. You can't think your way to success or create your future from thought itself.

One more pseudoscience that the author has included is the recommendation for a fat-free diet, since this book was written in the 1990s or 2000s. Brian Tracy is not aware of the 2o12 movement that proved once and for all that fat food does not cause obesity, but carbohydrates cause it.

Apparently, the author is not aware of this and has not updated the book with the latest scientific discoveries. But what I liked most about the book is that the author has done his homework well.

For example, I was impressed when the author quotes Francis Fukuyama's book about trust, which is a first principle.

Another great example of the groundwork done by the author is when I found the ABCDE framework that the author has quoted.

The author gave another great framework called the OPERA Method to actually know if a book is worth reading or not. It was pretty impressive.

So there are some really great insights in the book - the book is not an absolute self-help nonsense; there is great wisdom in the book.

But if you think that the book is a silver bullet for all your problems, then you need to think twice; there is some good advice, but this is not enough. There is more to be learned about how to harness luck.
The author clearly states that what appears to be luck or serendipity is actually a lot of hard work in the background.

But there are some really lucky people who get lucky without actually putting in the hard work like the rest of us, the author has failed to take them into account.

But I would still consider this a good attempt by the author. But I firmly believe that he has understood luck, but he has not understood Black Swan Luck or Serendipity, or mad luck, which is an entirely different kind of unpredictable and unknown unknown luck and is more powerful than luck when harnessed.

I think I will give the book a seocond reading to see if i have missed anything important.

Maaf banget, tapi gue gak nemu dagingnya 😅
